you mean beyonce's hair isn't naturally straight and blond? and the blond eyebrows? ..and pink lips? she was hotter before.
What does Oprahs success, wealth or generosity have to do with black America hating itself? If anything it proves that white America is more than willing to embrace people from any background has long as they have something positive to offer. Seems to me she got where she is by working with whites instead of blaming them for keeping her down. Learn from her.
I m just sayin- Why R the 1st 3 pics normal and the 3rd orange? Since when is skin orange.
I thought Beyonce was pretty just being herself.Cant we have a REAL campaign ad for woman of all colours w/o airbrushing and ligtening.Bet she looks naturally pretty being herself w/o that crappy makeup line.
I's all how a lady carries herself. The more makeup the less of a lady you get.
Thean again I thought Tammy Faye Baker was pretty funny! That was like watching a cartoon.Cant beat that-
This is a white world no matter how much fame you have. She truly looks white in this ad and they are on crack if they think otherwise........
226. ..... & then she asks: How many white americans are helping those who are less fortunate?
ALOT MORE THAN BLACKS - look at all the footage of Hurricane Katrina - the immediate footage shows 80% - 90%of all the Red Cross/shelter WORKERS/firemen/police/rescue WORKERS/helicopter pilots/levy repairmen were white, helping almost 100% of black "victims". If they were victims, they were victims of Ray Nagin & their own ill planning.
Red Cross volunteers worldwide are about 80-85% white - from my personal experience.
Dont believe me - Google it - I just did & here is the link & what it said:
http://www.bls.gov/news.release/volun.nr0.htm
"Whites continued to volunteer at a higher rate (27.9 percent) than blacks (18.2 percent) and Asians (17.7 percent). Among Hispanics, 13.5 percent volunteered.
Individuals with higher levels of educational attainment volunteered at higher rates than did those with less education. Among persons age 25 and over, more than 4 in 10 college graduates volunteered compared with fewer than 2 in 10 high school graduates and almost 1 in 10 of those with less than a high school diploma."
Next time, try to know the answer BEFORE you ask & question & TRY to make a point - all you accomplished here was pointing out another fact DISPROVING what you stupidly claim.
226. Typical, of all I said and I said plenty, you respond with Hurricane Katrina? The Red Cross? The scandal surrounding that event!!!!! The scandal involved the volunteers and the government, not the victims! Ray Nagin was not the cause of the hurricane. How would you like to live as those people did in that dome? In that stench? STFU, your stupidity is mounting! The media as usual continues to show the negative side of blacks/latinos and make sure the whites are painted as the good guy who comes in and saves the town! Have any of those people returned to their lives? To their homes? It's all been torn down and the devastation looks much worse than when Katrina hit. Has the govt helped rebuild? When the list is as long as Oprahs and you can come up with more than one event, enlighten us all, please.
Beyonce, Halle Berry and every other over paid cover girl/ L'orel model has final say-so on what's printed!!!!!! Wake up people....this is the picture the celebrity picked themselves!!!! Let's not throw in the RACe card if it's not needed.
I am amazed of the many ignorant comments and generalizations people are making. I really donât see the big deal over the ad and really can careless. Reading the many comments wrote this country still has a long way to go with the ignorance of prejudice and racism. Until you walk a day in someoneâs shoes you fully canât understand what its like for them; doesnât matter if the person is Black, White, Asian, Hispanic/Latino etc. At the end of the day life is what you make it.
I mentioned Hurricane Katrina in reference to your specific question asking how many white people are helping those less fortunate. I was a resident of Metairie, LA on August 28, '05. As a responsible & sensible person, I left well before then, before the evacuation. As soon as I could & was allowed in, I returned to the area as a volunteer & saw & lived & know first hand that a disproportionate number of volunteers were white. Dont get me wrong (again), there were some black, spanish/latino & asian volunteers, but the majority were white. Having had direct experience in & with Hurricane Katrina, personally and as a volunteer, I based my observation on my own specific, personal experience & validated them with specific statistics, in response to your specific question. Sorry if that experience & the actual facts are not what you believe or wanted to hear. You asked the question & I answered it.
Of course Nagin didnt cause or bring about Hurricane Katrina, I never insinuated he did, but neither did Bush or any portion of the government.
Of course there is corruption in the government but it was all there well before Katrina, not just in Louisiana. You cant blame it on the media, either. The devastation was unavoidable but personal loss could have been lessened greatly by each individual taking responsibilty for themselves, first of all, and their families & also their neighbors, ESP those less fortunate. The majority of people there just didnt do any of that. That is no one's fault but their own.
Your statement about the area looking worse now than right after Katrina hit is ridiculous & completely out of touch with reality. Some areas are still in demo stage, but work is constant. My neighborhood is still being rebuilt, but not by the government - by myself & the property owners who are responsible for their own future, and VOLUNTEERS, most of whom fit right into the statitics shown.
Instead of asking such a loaded, racist question, why dont YOU volunteer to help rebuild one of our neighborhoods, or help anywhere, yourself? Maybe by doing so you could enhance others lives instead of worrying about what color Beyonce or anyone elses skin is or appears to be in a photo. Instead you will continue to blame racism only on whites/non-blacks & not accept the fact that each persons own personal experiences are what their observations & beliefs are based on.
I think her fake $5 dollar hair is making her skin the same color. Does she really think that cheap hair looks natural! Why do black women insist on coloring their hair unnatural shades. I'm white and I wouldn't do it. So pathetic, trying to look white.
