Pale Comparison

More on the L'Oréal front ... When Beyonce signed on with L'Oréal in 2001 her career was big -- but not huge. As she became more mainstream, her look in the ads appears to evolve -- into a whiter version of her former self.

Everybody needs to stop commenting on this garbage. TMZ, stop trying to make something out of nothing. You are the ONLY ones who have reported on this and seem to not want to quit until its made an issue. You call it a controversy, Its not an issue/controversy for anybody but you. By the way, the bitch has blonde hair. Of course they are gonna lighten their skin. How stupid are you?

I realize what you are getting at. If you ever go to Asia, you will see advertising with all these white looking people. The #1 plastic surgury in Japan is done to make a womans eyes look western. If you look at Betty Crocker photos (she is just a corporate view of an American housewife) you will see her going from blonde/blue over the years to kinda Hispanic looking. This is because in the advertising world; you try to get your consumer to identify with the model.

So where is Beyonce going? Why does Paris Hilton want to go to Maui to darken her skin? That is just human nature to make yourself over to be more sexually attractive. Skin color is only one part of the equation. Personally, I think the most unattractive skin color is albino, which is someone who has no melanin in their skin at all. They are the ultimate white person, and it can occur in any race.

I wouldn't worry that much about skin color. So many people are mixed race in America these days anyway, it is hard to even determine their ancestry. Look at Tiger Woods for example; he is more Asian than anything. But who cares? It is the content of his character, and not the color of his skin that matters...

They are selling the color of the hair/hair dye, Not the color of Beyonce's, or any other model's, skin. I'm sure they alter the coloring, shading, etc., of the person to whatever will look good with the supposed shade the dye is. Must we make this an issue? Are we all so stupid in the ways of marketing that we think lightening a model's skin is a race issue?

Seriously??:  1284 days ago

Really? You're still on this?? You dont think maybe it's because she has orange hair in the pic, coupled with all the airbrushing they do on her that makes it look so extreme??? You dont see Beyonce making a big fuss about it, so why is TMZ posting something about it 5 times a day. MOVE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait a minute, did Beyonce have nothing to say about this? With the way she controls her career, I can't believe that. Her hair color has changed more than once, and I don't think L'Oreal snuck into her house when she was asleep and colored her hair as a little surprise. This is ridiculous.

If you look at all the pictures it seems that the hair colors all coordinate with her skin tone so it looks like a perfect match

Her hair has evolved too... you think L'Oreal is the one making her hair look whiter too? This NON issue isn't news, or even interesting, it is boring and over played.

Yeah because it makes sense - pay big money to a superstar, and alter her looks so it won't look like her. *rolls eyes*

Nina, quit it already. Crying as "black victims" is so passe.

My God, are people really so uneducated and stupid, that they're gonna bitch, whine, and moan about some stupid Photoshop job on a Beyonce picture? Seriously? With an illegal and unjust war that has been going on for about 6 years, the Olympics, the problems in Tibet, Darfur, and now Russian Georgia; our economy getting flushed down the drain, the Presidential election, etc., all going on, the most important things in your lives and tiny, unused minds is THIS? It's no wonder so many other countries think us here in the U.S. are backwards and dumb, because people like you whiners and idiots are just proving it, over and over again. GET SMARTER, YOU MORONS.

SO white models get pissed when the photo shoot people request that they look tanner or darker??? NO now STFU !!!! beyoncee isnt pissed about it then why should all you. If your really pissed about it, be pissed at beyonce for allowing it to happen, and not loreal.

You know what... I am a minority and I am brown and I do not find anything offensive about this pic. If L'Oreal was trying to appeal to a white demographic, they would have used a white chick instead. I do think they lightened her skin tone but only so they can match that hideous shade of blonde on her head. There is nothing racial about this pic. I really wish everyone would just drop it already.

Who cares!? It's not like we don't know who it is and don't know she is black. Plus it isn't the first time the chick has looked light...get over it and stop acting like it is because the company is racist - if they were they wouldn't have hired her *ss. If she has a problem let her deal with it. I am black and this is annoying the crap out of me!
