20. Even with the ever changing lineup their still one of the greatest rock bands to come out of the south. Never forget that 5 hour set at Watkins Glen in '73. The current lineup is the best since the original band.

22. That "Fat Old Hippie" is Warren Haynes and is one of the best guitar players I have ever heard! He is one of the reasons the Allmans were able to make the comeback that they did!!

24. The Laura is right on re: Warren. These ain't "fat old dudes," Warren is only 48 and the other "old" dude is Derek Trucks, Butch's son ... a spry 29!

Fierce musicians in their own rights and just wonderful together in the Allman Bros. One of the best groups going in any genre.

If you're not onto these guys, you're missing out.

26. give them their $$. i'm a fan of 30+ years and they are talented musicians who appreciate their art. show me a miley cyrus or jonas bros fan in 30 years. a new "it" song or dance will come along in 2 years and no one will give a hoot about them. but the allman bros.. that's a show!

29. So many bands have the Allman Brothers to thank for their success. I saw the original band three times and it changed my life forever. SHOW THEM THE MONEY!
