Celebrity Justice
Parole For Lennon's Killer? Oh No!

No need to imagine at least two more years of slammer time for John Lennon's killer -- he just got denied parole, for the fifth time.

Mark David Chapman just got the big red X from the parole board at Attica, meaning he'll have to serve at least two more years there for the 1980 killing of the Beatle before his next chance at freedom. Parole peeps noted that MDC has had a clean record since 1994 but that his release "would not be in the best interest of the community."

Yoko had lobbied yesterday against Chapman's release.

16. Good, this guy murdered a man in cold blood; he deserves to remain in jail for the rest of his life.

17. Where is this SOB located? How can we contact the parole board and support Yoko? This fat bastard has no right ever being let out! He willingly, knowingly and without remorse killed someone who literally influenced millions or people on this plant!

If this fat f@#k ever gets out it shows just what a joke the judicial system is here in the US. Kill someone and do your time and then get out and do what ever you want. Sure sure sure he served his time but you take a like you spend your life in prision, period!

This fat bastard has been living the high life in his minimum security so called prision. He's had girlfriends, allowed to roam free and what about John's family? No husband for Yoko or father for the kids etc.

Just my .02 worth.

18. One of the ten most cowardly acts of all-time.

Shooting an unsuspecting person eleven times as his back is to you - and at forty paces.

Even the parole requests are publicity stunts - gets a hard-on when he makes the news.

19. Thank god I live in Texas. Too bad he's not in prison down here. That S.O.B. would have had a needle in his arm years ago.

25. Why do we (USA) insist on wasting sooooooooo much time/money on soooooooo many appeals????? Found guilty (after a monster waste of time/money for the court system as it is), get 1 appeal (due to there's always a chance for a mistake) and that's it. Gotta draw a line and stop wasting

26. He should rot in jail for the rest of his life!

27. Have hin released and forced to live 24/7 with Yoko. That would be the worst punishment.

28. Chapman should NEVER be released. Life in prison with NO parole EVER.

29. MDC deserves to spend the rest of his natural life in prison, and then burn in hell for all eternity. What a piece of crap - and he expected to be PAROLED? Fat frickin' chance, murder boy! If he got released, then some well-meaning citizen would probably take him out, thus cheating him out of a life of abject misery behind bars. Rot in prison, a-hole!

30. GOOD!! The thought of him seeing the light of day is a frightening one. He robbed the world of a truly wonderful man with a brilliant mind and a peaceful nature. I believe with my whole heart that if Lennon lived, the 1980s would have been his and he would have been bigger and better than ever.

I wonder if the parole board realizes just how many Lennon fans there still are and if they have weighed the possibility of someone avenging John's death?
