Beyonce: Who's The Fairest of Them All?

Looks like Beyonce heard that whole "so they whited you up for that L'Oréal" thing, because now she really is lookin' like the ad, or Mariah Carey, depending on which eye you use.

BTW, she's wearing the ring. But we want to know if Beyonce is looking like the ad to blunt criticism ...

46. ". My question is... "Who said that WHITE women are more beautiful than BLACK women?" I am a white women. And I feel that all women have beauty! I believe a decent mind sees NO COLOR!

Posted at 1:52PM on Aug 13th 2008 by Voni"

Dare I say ...The MEDIA!!!Them and their "IT" girls? The public...all men (well many men) want the blonde haired big boobed, flat rear, half-starved looking white girl/woman. Look at what is representing your culture. The white guys, black guys ,Asian guys... all want the "dumb" big boobed blonde out there who is so hot because the media tells them that's who men want. They want the supermodel, not so good girl, party girl. Now I personally don't believe all the hype, but that's the message that is being put out there in the MEDIA about white women. Think about , young girls are acting dumb to be like you know who and others. They are taking half naked pics of themselves, and making out with females (not talking about lesbians here) , and flashing their breast at anyone with a video camera who says they are pretty and sexy. You know this is true. You as a white female , and others like you, need to work on helping your young girls/ women feel better about themselves (if you are not doing this already). The reality is that the images out there about white females are really hurting you guys in the long run. Many of these girls aren't looking up to doctors, lawyers, teachers, politicians etc...they want to be the "next best thing." I do not mean to offend anyone , and I am not trying to be racist, I'm just telling you what I see. And yes, I know we need to work on our images too, not every black girl/ woman wants to be a groupie , or in a booty shaking video either nor is she carring a baby on her hip with four "baby daddies". Nor do we all walk aroung with our huge a$$es hanging out and every other sterotype you can think of. We all need to get our acts together and try to do more for these young women who really want the help, and this goes for all races. I don't know what is wrong with these young people (black and white) believing that being DUMB is a good thing . And having babies? Damn making a pact ? What the ...I'm just saying...

47. To Erin,

The same reason any woman wear's wigs, changes the hair color or gets a perm (to make their hair curly) because they want a different look, has nothing to do with not being proud to be black. Even if a black person gets a relaxer it is not going to be the same texture as a white persons. Plus, since when is having straight hair a white thing. A lot of white women don't have straight hair either. Does Jessica Simpson want to be black because she wanted fuller lips, does any white woman who wears butt pads do it because she wants to be black? The answer is no. Just because you change your look every now and then doesn't mean they are not proud of who they are. Besides I've seen plenty of wig shops in non-black neighborhoods.

48. The problem TMZ has is that B has never been caught in n e slackness like partying hard, drunk driving, crashing her car, showing her crotch for the world to c, doing drugs & skippin in & out of rehab. she's been holding it down with 1 man 4 yrs & now married to that man, her career is sky-rocketing, she's beautiful & not to mention very very sexy.

JEALOUSY

They trying to make her look like a bad person but if she chooses to lighten her skin(which she didn't) 4 an ad to make her money that's her business, it's her body & so far she's treatin it well. You go girl keep on NOT giving the world things to talk about...

50. This story looks more like a pissed TMZ employee trying to cause a ruckus over a no deal at all issue. The good thing about it is no one really cares, including Beyonce. Too bad for uppity TMZ staffer, get over yourself.

51. 38. what ever happened to the good ol' afro? that's what beyonce REALLY has under all that fake, proccessed hair. If you blacks are so proud of being black, how come i rarely see any of you with your real hair, opting for "whiter", straighter, longer hair? but someone lightens you up and all hell breaks lose? make up your mind. you blacks all seem so conflicted...

Posted at 3:33PM on Aug 13th 2008 by Erin

You dont make any sense. If blacks were trying to be white how come you say what ever happened to the Afro. Obviously blacks were rockin the afro before which you consider "real" hair. Its out of style now thats why people dont have that style and what do you mean real hair? I'm black and I couldnt do a afro if I could because my hair is wavy and down my back and ITS REAL. I'm going to have to school you on black hair.It might seem as shock to you, but not all blacks have the same hair texture. Some examples are Ananda Lewis, Paula Patton (robin thicke's wife), Not all blacksBlacks having straight hair doesnt mean they want to be white. Its call being versital, many blacks have their hair straight, in curly looser afros (that what's in style now), dreadlocks, braids etc.. women in general want different hair styles. Are you suggesting black women to have an afro only, throughout their whole life? If that's the case white women with hair that is not naturally straight should wear their real hair

Here are pics of different textures of hair in the black community scroll down

53. "You compare her to Mariah Carey who is biracial and she looks more white than black but acts more as if she's black. Not to mention is a little bit off her rocker and really shouldn't be compared to anyone. " What the ...?"acts more as if she's black"? I didn't know being black was an act...wow news to me. Anyway, I did get your point.

55. I remember hearing Big Boy on Power 106 a couple years ago about the time when she was her group Destiny's Child they made sure that that Kelly and Michelle tanned so that Beyonce' appeared lighter. She has always been light.. who knows maybe she did the same procedure Michael Jackson did.

56. show me any woman of color or hispanic out in hollywood that doesn't whitewash themselves.

Posted at 5:04PM on Aug 13th 2008 by ridebare

57. I was thinking about this "whitewash" thing, and if the pic was taken for a hair color, I think they did change the color of her face to "match" the hair dye. Bad idea? Yeah, you "lightened up" a black girl, but it might not be racist at all, just a bad idea.

58. IT'S ALL A PLOT . . . YOU WILL OBSERVE LORD OBAMA'S GETTING LIGHTER AS WELL! AIN'T NOBODY IN THE WHITE HOUSE BUT US WHITE FOLKS! I'M JUST SAYIN

59. 38. Erin, if you whites are so proud of being white, why do you dye your hair blonde? Why do you put extensions in your hair? Why do you get botox injections? Why do you get fake boobs? Why do you get your lips plumped? Why do you get body part implants? Why do you get plastic surgery at all? Why do you put so much make-up on? What are you trying to hide or cover up? Why do you have stripper poles in your bedrooms? Why do you dress like ho-bags and go out in public? Why do you close the clubs down everynight and come out looking like you've been "rode hard and put away wet"? Why do you indulge in multiple sex partners? Why do you people do the "swingers act" and why is the majority of gays & pedophiles white? Why did you even wake up this morning?

Posted at 5:46PM on Aug 13th 2008 by why why why?

60. 59. Yes, and you should all be so proud!!! WOW!!!! It's good that you are taking responsibility for the state this country is in. For the trillion dollar war that should have never happened. For the economy, recession, foreclosure, lack of healthcare, social security disappearing, gas prices, laws that allow pedophiles to be released to attack again or better yet become our childrens school teachers and molest our innocent children, drugs being smuggled in this country, and the prisions and jails overcrowding. We americans who have worked our whole lives and pay taxes, only to have our govt undermine us! You law makers who will give our hard earned money to illegal immigrants! Our lawmakers who will spend our hard earned money on things that will not help the problems of this country, but will certainly fatten up your pockets!
