All of you stupid people bitchin' & moanin' about this being racists are showing how little you truly know - they were making fun of people alright, they were making fun OF THEMSELVES & saying they WISHED they had slanted eyes on the court. They were doing it to show that they thought the Chinese were better basketball players than themselves. Racism isnt the only thing born of total ignorance - FALSE RACISM is too! Why in the world do so many Americans work so diligently & put forth such effort to see racism in EVERYTHING?

49. This is hilarious! TMZ prides themselves on being completely different from the "ass kissers" of ET or Extra, so much so that they'll go the extra mile to be the ass hole of entertainment news. 50. Racism is everywhere, in everyone's house, or at work, but also there is a lot of hypocrisy. The one's that have placed stupid comments should revise their own thoughts.
Leave double standard for stupid people.
The add was not offensive for chinese people, why should be for you americans? See the log from your backyard and not the straw from your neighbour.

52. I have seen this type of attitude from other "Latin Culture" people. That they "cannot be racist", since they feel they are discriminated against themselves. Then they proceed to say things that Americans would never dream of getting away with.
(Both in race and sexual orientation topics). That said, it does lack sensitivity, but also shows that other parts of the world are far less "racially sensitive" than here in the U.S., not unlike our over-prudish attitudes towards nudity. We are "projecting" our culture's attitudes on the Spanish, and making far too much of it.

53. I think there's some sort of a double standard. For example, If the players put on black face and made a 'joke' about black people, a loooot of people would be outraged. But it's perfectly ok to make slant eyes to make fun of chinese people. Why is that?

By the way, I'm Asian. I don't think the picture is that bad. It's just not funny or in good taste. And yes, Spanish people are racist lmao. They're known for it. Anyone who can't see that must be...uh, pulling their eyelids back a bit too far.
