Jury Sides With God, Pastor's Wife Cleared

Megachurch preacher's wife Victoria Osteen did not assault a flight attendant over a stain on her first class seat, a civil jury in Texas has ruled.

The jurors rejected Sharon Brown's claims that pastor Joel Osteen's wife caused her mental and physical harm -- even giving her hemorrhoids-- by going off on her on a 2005 flight from Houston to Vail, Colo.

Brown had said Miss Victoria went berserk when a spill on the armrest of her seat wasn't cleaned up quickly enough. Brown said the preacher's wife slammed her against the lavatory door, and elbowed her in the breast as she rushed the cockpit. A jury unanimously decided Brown's story was full of holy baloney and awarded her zilch.

Brown had sued for 10% of Osteen's net worth.

91. Does anyone remember that this church nut was charged a fine by the FAA for interference with a flight crew. If it was me or you we would been placed in jail. Plus all the witnesses in first class who testified in court belonged to the Osteen Cult,

92. Why hasn't the airline let this woman go yet? It seems she is looking for any chance to sue anybody she comes in contact with on these trips. Look at the first lawsuit she filed way back then. Wtf is wrong with Continental for allowing her to stay on with this kind of record. Bad PR for the airline imo. Surely they can find a loophole in there to let this woman go!

95. Sharon Brown is nothing more than a con artist and honestly now that she has lost; they need to get rid of her. IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, ,,,when she decides who the next target will be!

97. I just had to laugh at the comments given. Very interesting view points from most. Can't say I agree or disagree with all of them because I don't know the whole story just what I have read here. But I would like to say speaking about the human
race religious or not. I really feel that we are here on this earth to enjoy life with each other, live in peace, treat people the
way we want to be treated, love, care, respect each other and if EVERYONE on this planet practiced this all the time. This
world would be a much better place to live in for EVERYONE. We are all different and unique and we can all learn from
each other. How good it must feel to be respected and loved by your fellow man and for you to do the same. This world
is full of hate, jealousy, disrespect and destorying our enviornment for every living thing. WE ALL need to try and do our
part to make this a better world to live in. It is basically simple to do if you just think about it.

98. Don't be so quick to call someone's church a cult. From what I have seen and heard this is far from it. Joel and Victoria teach that salvation comes only from Jesus by accepting Him as Lord and Savior, and also about truth, honesty, self worth . Having been a missionary's kid I know about persecution, and name calling and being treated different because of your beliefs. Thank
God that we do live in a country where we are allowed to express our views and feeling about anything. And please remember, that we all have the right to voice our options on what is good and bad, but we also need to learn respect of each others because we are all one people, one nation Under God!

99. Perhaps you doubters are not aware that the woman who made these charges against Victoria Onsteen has a history of this. She had previously filed charges against a fellow emplyee of the airline for the very same thing back in '97. This has nothing to do with race or religion, to me it has to do with a woman with a distrorted reality. Justice was serverd here and its ashamed that she won't have to pay for Ms Onsteens attorney fees.

100. Michael.. God does exsist. Everyone will be judged in the end so if I were you I would get in a bible based church and read the bible,like Joel suggests. There will be an end and I hope you do take the time to make Jesus your Lord and savior. Your waking up breathing everyday. Proof that God exsist.Remember Jesus loves the believers and non-believers...But only through him you can go to heaven. You still have time.

102. I find the whole situation disturbing. The lawsuit was bogus and I find the pastor and his wife to be bogus too. I find it hard to stomach that people who have "religious power" take money from people who probably can't afford it and then the pastors (motivational speakers) live the high life. I am all for making money but I believe many laws of ethics are broken with most of the TV evangelists (Joyce Meyer included). Their God business has turned into a huge money making venture...very, very disturbing.

103. Christians can be so narrow minded and judgmental, unlike that Jewish prophet named Jesus was. You'd think they would try to emulate Jesus, but instead they take random quotes out of the Bible to justify their judgmental, money worshiping ways. Then they proclaim that God is on their side. Doubtful. God transends that human invention called religion. Most religious fanatics wouldn't know God if they met Her. But they recognize what they really worship, money and power.
