He's either the toughest 82-year-old around, or Dick Van Dyke is still one of the funniest SOB's on the planet.
Dick sent a letter to the editor of Malibu Surfside News, to comment how flattered he was about an encounter with unexpected paparazzi. Unfortunately, Van Dyke claims he still had to lay the smackdown on the pap -- out of loyalty to other celebs.
Maybe Dick's a member of MLO.

(Page 1 of 1)Still a classy but extremely funny man. It looks like he really enjoys his life!
What a funny, classy guy and what a true talent. I hope he's around for a long, long time.
Every performance of his is classy and he's a comic genius, a natural. "Chim chim chereee!" "Never need a reason, never need a rhyme, chim chim cheree Step in Time!" And he was the (on TV) man who scored the young Mary Tyler Moore for life. If America could muster up a Monty Python, he'd be one of those with that kind of inventive talent to be able to handle it.
He is so nice when you meet him. Very kind, humble and funny.
He's hysterical! He wrote a letter to the editor a few months back about screwdrivers and underwear (check archives). Funny, funny man.
PolarBear, As a major fan of Monty Python, I agree with you and wish he had been. It would have been different since Python had a peculiarly english sense of humor but just as good.
Go Sox
He is what a classic, talented, and STILL relavant actor in the business is all about. Hollywood on a whole is dying. These Hills type "want a be" actors??? Have no clue.
This man is a true class act. A lot of these so-called "actors" could certainly take some lessons from him.
