I agree, Madonna was an inspiration to a lot of girls and did record a couple of good songs, I like Ray of light, but jeezlouise- give it a rest. Just retire and enjoy the money and kids. Its annoying when artists dont know when to go home. And to see her slutting it up in her tight leotard and flashing her crotch in the boxing ring photos was really not pretty or age appropriate.

37. i have to agree with J. Its upsetting to see on such a large level the amount of haters concerning Madonna. She was like the ultimate to me when i was growing up (teenage years) and then i just realized she really wasnt that nice of a person intrinsically and you can't necessarily see that when your 14. But what people are failing to acknoledge is that with as much ego as she is said to have, this woman is so obviosly in a lot of pain and unfortunately taking it out on her face. Between exercising herself to now looking masculine to tweaking a once beautiful face, that is some serious self destructive behavior. just sayin

41. All you people are LOSERS who are bagging on Madonna. I am actually not a huge fan but am a music historian and here are some FACTS for you. She has more top 40 hits than any other female, and anybody else but Elvis and the Beatles. She was the #1 female artist last year and her tour was #1 in earnings. Her tour this year is estimated to bring in 240 million dollars which would be the most ever for a female artist! For all of you who are 30 or under Madonna was the ONE person who opened all the doors for FEMALE artist to be so sucessful. She was the FIRST female who did things the way she wanted as a female and did not let the males in the industry make her a puppet like all the other artist before her. Janet, Brittnay, Mariah and the list goes on have done NOTHING that Madonna didn't do FIRST!! That is FACT! They are all just followers. Fergie said it in an interview last month that she was sure if it wasn't for Madonna that she wouldn't be as successful as she is and able to express herself like she is able to do. She said every female artist owes Madonnas a huge amount of gratitude for knocking down the door for the girls!!

43. Love Madonna. Back in the 80's when she first started out, I was in awe of her brazenness. No, she's not the best singer out there, but she paved the way for many female singers. She is an historical icon.
