John Mayer: I Didn't Want to Waste Her Time

We're guessin' if John Mayer keeps his subscription to Us Weekly, he'll only use it if Jennifer Aniston ever comes over again with Norman and the pooch does his business.

Mayer was indignant at reports his relationship with Jen was torpedoed because he cheated. He says, "I ended a relationship to be alone, because I didn't want to waste someone's time." All the "cheating" stories are cheap lies, Mayer says, adding, "It's the most normal thing in the world" when a relationship runs its course.

And he challenged 20% of Americans who are too wussy to get out of relationships that don't work.

After railing on the mags, Johnny boy has some serious superlatives for Jen.

16. I think you are all missing the point of what he is saying. He is saying don't keep trashing people. That it is normal for
a relationship to break up. People are different and they don't always work out. It just isn't making the headlines. Jen
doesn't look that upset to me so maybe it was a two way street. They dated, they had fun, and it didn't work. End of
story. I do think they want totally different things out of life. I also think that all the publicity and lies got to him. The
press makes a mountain out of a molehill. All the stars have a problem dating because there is no privacy in their
lives. A simple hello turns into a date.

17. Hey John you should return your Grammy for ripping off Curtis Mayfield's song "We're A winner" that you stole for "Waiting On The World to Change" that you won a Grammy for. Curtis's son Kirk is suing you and your record label now, so I am sure Jennifer Aniston is the least of your worries. Now it is coming out how not only you ripped off that song but others, like 'Why Virgina" from that Unknown country artist but you lifted a ton of material from a ton of artists. What a hack.

19. Good for John. Good to see more men that are not in the 'wussified men of America' club. Those that pander to women and think ALL men are no good cheats. Women cheat as often if not more than men, they just lie better, certainly nothing to brag about. Men need to man up, if you are not happy, BAIL. Don't give her the chance to kick you to the curb once she realizes you are miserable with her nagging arse, they LOVE doing that and think it is a 'right of passage' for their gender. Equal rights? Women don't want equal rights. They want and expect superior rights.

20. John is a PLAYER. he's not serious about getting into a relationship. Jennifer should just focus on herself and not worry about men fow a good long time. John Mayer is a WHORE

21. The only thing I heard in John's rant was a bunch of verbal diarrhea and back pedalling. He was on the defensive, attempting to justify something, when really he justified nothing. He has no excuse for being a serial dater, a player, a smarmy douche-bag. I can't understand why he even took the time to stop and talk to those reporters. He is seriously insecure. You can see it. Guys like him, should not waste *ANY* woman's time ever. He's way too into himself, and thinks he way more important than he actually is.

22. "People feel sorry for this old ass woman."

Hey Shelly-if 39 is "old ass" to you, you are a complete moron. Jennifer is beautiful, successful and by all accounts a genuinely nice person. Your envy of her isn't attractive. As for your then thanking John for being honest after your nasty remarks towards someone he cares about, he'd tell you to go f*** yourself.

25. To #2: thanks for your comments John Mayer (or your camp) and to #12 thanks for your comments Jennifer (or your camp).

I have to wonder about Jennifer ... poor woman, she's sure having a hard time getting into a serious relationship .. and with Brad dumping her and all. Yikes, soooo beautiful, but so unlucky in love. On the other hand, I wonder how much substance this woman has. All that money and free time on her hands (I don't thinking she's working too hard these days ... not sure) ... does she do any charity work? Is she contributing to society in any important ways (similar to Angelina Jolie). Anytime I see her, she's either working out or working on her tan or shopping ... perhaps she's a slightly more intelligent version of Paris Hilton?? I've seen her in some interviews in the past (not the brightest bulb in the room!). She seems to be a bit of a flaky Hollywood type. When it comes down to it, I think guys enjoy intelligent women who contribute something to this world and don't just focus on their looks and perfectly sculpted bodies. Just my opinion though ... Mayer might not be much better.

26. How ridiculous. Jennifer Aniston is known for being classy and keeping her mouth shut. I'm sure she is mortified he kept yakking his mouth this way. He is a dork, and clueless. She is better off.

27. Jennifer Aniston looks good for her age but she's no spring chicken. Her body is saging and her "natural no cut n gut" reproductive window is closing. John Mayer realized this roller coaster does not live up to the hype.

28. Actually, I have been involved with someone who I think is much like John Mayer. He is desperately struggling with his sexuality and so far remains in denial. I look for him to come out soon, if he really that into honesty.

29. Geeze, I love how everyone acts as if they KNOW either John or Jen. Back off, they are moving about their life JUST like everyone else. There are an infinite number of reasons why all of us end relationships-- and when it's time to move on and really, why do either of them own any of you an explanation?

Give both of them a break-- they tried taking the route of saying nothing to the media...but you kept hounding them, so it looks like John tried a different approach and gave you some commentary. I have to admit, I LOVED watching when John was playing around as a guest host for TMZ...but, after watching this last bit of video-- it starts to show a point of where it's just rather sad that I was watching someone try and explain a situation, that even I wouldn't want to talk about with my friends, let alone the world.

I'm sure I'll get blasted for my commentary-- but, I hope TMZ moves on from questioning John about Jen and let him get back to being silly about random things.

Peace out-

30. I agree with whoever said that JA is known for staying quiet and classy. John Mayer gives himself way too many props thinking that he has to run off at the mouth while really saying nothing. I do NOT think he dumped her. I think she is/was aware of his indecision about who he is. She had fun for a bit. Now she needs a man with balls and hair on his chest.
