32. This lawyer is really rifling funds from Britney. Hopefully, Britney or her father whom had legal control of her assets, realizes this lawyer's contract has to stipulate the cost per hour, and an itemized statement of every court appearance, office visit and telephone conference, written proposals, stipulations, etc, as each should have a different price, and going to trial should be this cost, not just for a show cause hearing or other proposal. This would mean that this lawyer will get paid if in court more four hours, will get paid 2,800. It's difficult enough dealing with divorce, child custody, but to have to be worried about paying an overpriced lawyer, whom is in it for the notariety and funding, rather than to represent their clients to the best of their ability. It doesn't matter celebrity or middle income person, there should be a law set down that lawyers have to follow a schedule of adequate pay for their representation.

"Do the math" is right on, even though my math is a little different. $481,000 over four months at $700 per hour is 687 hours. 687 hours divided by 17.33 weeks (4 months) is 39.6 hours a week (that's a full work week every week for four months, so she shouldn't have had to bill any other client during that time. Lets see what this lawyers bills were to her other clients during those four months. She probably claimed she worked 40 hours a week for them, too.

41. That's INSANE!! I don't care how good she is or high profile. That's outright abuse. So many times talks have come up about finally capping these thieves, but NOOOOO... That can't be done. Well, lets at least make all outstanding complaints made against attorneys or actions become public information so they can make informed decisions when seeking legal representation as what is done with doctors. NOOOOOOOO. They could be bogus complaints and we wouldn't want them to lose their livelihood after attending law school (Yea for 3 years and doctors are there for nearly 10...) And let us go one step further and allow private developers and there "high profile" team of attorneys take away people's homes to build multi million dollar homes, etc... (You go Sandra Day O'Connor.. You stup** C***) This is not about Spears being a loser, etc... It's about abuse and thievery. I hope Britney can prove no way in hell she deserves that much. As far as I am concerned she didn't do such a hot job if that low life Federline got full custody. "You know Britney. You proved you were crazy and the best thing you can do to avoid any further public melt downs. You do want the best for your boys don't you? Give them to Kevin and just up the child support to 20K a month and I'll get you at least a couple of overnight visits! Wouldn't that be nice?" I know this one attorney who is considered to be one of the best in his field in New York and charges $650.00 an hour. He charges his clients just for thinking about the case while on the toilet! TRUE STORY!
