Many of those saying they won't vote for Obama are lying to themselves and creating bogus reasons why they won't vote for Obama, when in reality it's because he is black. Come you racists, at least be honest and quit with the lameo reasons you won't vote for Obama, it's because he's not white, plain and simple. I'm not saying you're a racist if you don't vote for Obama, I'm saying a lot of you are being dishonest and afraid to say you can't vote for him because he's black. 64. Vince...Don't be such an idiot yourself. If Collin Powell or Condi Rice were running I'd vote for them, as would millions of other voters who will not vote for Obama because he is a flaming liberal. There are some who will not vote for him because he is black, sure...I bet there are at least twice as many who will vote for him because he is black and the trend these days is for people to try to prove who enlightened and not racist they are, not the other way around. There are people who actually understand the issues facing our country and who have informed opinions on how these issues should be addressed. There are vast philosophical differences between these two, give their respective supporters credit for knowing which side of teh issues they are on, implying half the people in the country won't vote for Obama just because, or ever partially because, he is black is unfair and more than likely inaccurate.

67. Speaking of being informed, whoever wins the Presidential election will most likely not win in a landslide. Just because one does not fall prey to Republican fearmongering does not mean one is uninformed. I wish the public were informed instead of sheep swayed by political ads and conservatiove talking heads. The ads McCain is running are a joke and misrepresent the facts. The one touting Obama as the reason oil prices have run up are such a joke. Offshore drilling won't change the price of oil one iota for many years because of the time it takes to find oil and then drill for oil. Meanwhile, alternative energy sources could be developed. By the way, oil prices have dropped, so should Obama also get credit for that? Simple economics is hard for the present administration and McCain to understand, which is one reason McCain's ads reek of ignorance. Much like many who have posted here in support of old man McCain. By the way, Presidents don't set tax policies, Congress does. Think!

By McCain's family's standard he is a loser because he never made Admiral. If a military family doesn't approve of your military career ... The attack ads he claims are being aired by anti-Obama groups without his knowledge or approval. If you believe that I have a nice bridge I'd like to sell you. Only slightly used.

He claims to be a righteous Christian but he cheated on his wife. Can you find the chapter and verse which says that's okay? Because I never have.

ispeakthetruth, What about the radical right who's trying to run a whisper campaign against Obama. That's backfiring against them too. Maybe when all the hype clears and the idiots cancel each other out, the election will be won or lost by those of us who actually researched the candidate's positions on the important issues.

Maudie, clearly you have no understanding whatsoever about polls and statistics. The intention of a poll is to ask a representative SAMPLE of voters not each and every one of them. That would be called an election.

Highlander, it would depend on whether I was asked to serve on a board with OJ before or after he supposedly killed his ex-wife (he was cleared by the criminal court remember) By the way, Bill Ayres did not bomb the police or the Pentagon, he bombed a statue dedicated to the police casualties in the Haymarket Riot of 1886. What target he and his allies might have chosen had the Greenwich Village townhouse not exploded, we'll never know.

I voted for Hillary in the primary and unfortunately I know several older white women who have decided not to vote for Obama because he's not Hillary. I have tried to discuss the facts with them but they have closed their minds and plan on voting for McCain because he's the candidate most like them (i.e. old and white). I just hope there are enough open-minded voters to cancel them out. Here's hoping the election will go the right way on November.
