According to Essence.com, the photos show a bruised LisaRaye, taken after a fight between her and her hubby, along with members of both of their security teams. A source close to the premier says it was someone in Misick's posse that actually did the damage.

Chris Rock is on stage telling jokes, OK?.....If you are of age, and mature you would know that domestic violence is a serious offense against the law.Iv'e compounded some answer off of a couple of boards I've read in here and put them in my own words. I think it best describes why the black man is the way he is and our responsibility as women... In 1960 approx 80% of our households were two parent households. What happened? There was never a social movement in this country by black men not to be married and head of household. But there was a women's movement ( feminist movement) in this country that stated that "women didn't need men". Sounds great on the surface. Unfortunately black women bought into the hype, jumped on board and took it one step further. Fueled by the feminist movement many black women decided "you didn't need father figures as well". Far too many black women bought into this so called "backbone theory" and marginalized black father figures. Welfare became the replacement father for the black man. Women’s homes were searched for any sign to make sure their were no men in the house. Our women had to sneak out and become maid’s and take on odd jobs where they didn’t have to report the extra income, to make up the difference of what the new daddy(welfare) provided for their families. Or if they did have a man he had to be gone and whatever he bought hidden when the welfare lady came. They pacified us with government cheese, peanut butter, food stamps and a small check each month that barely lasted two weeks. So you see we planted the seed for the black family demise. One of our major problems as women are, we complain about not having quality black men as partners . . .yet we don't produce good men. When we raise our sons we have to raise them to be the type of men that we as women expect as leaders and providers for our families. Many of us choose to have babies by men who are emotionally, and physically unavailable, and financially unstable. Then we think that makes for a good parent example for the children we make. We as women don't even respect ourselves in the presence of our children. Our morals are seriously deteriorated, such that we present the worst possible example of womanhood to our daughters and sons. How can we expect black boys to become responsible, righteous black men when the examples before them are so messed up. How can we expect black boys to understand how to respect women when we as women do not behave respectfully in their sight? Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free. So. . . how do we fix it? Its kind of like which came first the chicken or the egg. Well I'm not suggesting looking back. . I'd rather you look forward. We cant be overly concerned about the men who have failed us up to this point. We must simply get ourselves together as women. know who we are, and recapture our morality and self worth, so that we can make the best choice possible When God sends us our partner. Which means not settling for the first stray that wants to lay. We then can produce the kind of men going forward that we know are necessary for the uplifting of our families. So the women in the future wont have to suffer the same indignities we suffer right now. We have to remember that WOMAN Is the mothers of the earth and the nurturers of humanity. Its all in knowing who you are, exactly what you want, and having the self-esteem and self-discipline not to settle for less. Also we have to shake off those old fashioned notions of relationships, that our great- great grandmothers passed down. They didn't work for them and their not going to work for us. I remember the old mothers saying "you have to mold a man and train a man", "you have to sacrifice yourself for your man. I'm glad I had the good sense not to listen to that garbage. First. .you cannot make a man once he is already grown, second giving yourself away to a man will leave YOU empty. If he decides to walk away there is nothing left of you, than to fall apart. I am emotionally healthy, I know exactly what I want, and I know I am worth it. . .and therefore I would rather die alone than settle. Because you and I both know that, when we settle for less, and we cant magically turn a frog into a prince, or get the fairytale, we become bitter and resentful. And whose fault is it that we believed in magic? Certainly not the man. So pray and let God restore the black family. A man that finds a good wife finds a good thing. God meant for man and woman to be together. And her as his help mate. But if your never given that opportunity, then to thy own self be true and happy.

21. I had to google this woman. After doing so I found out she was the "HALF" sister of another person I never heard of called "The brat" or something equally as retarded. So thats what it takes to be a star? Being some half sister of a nobody?

22. @19
I actually sat down and read alot of your post...but, let me save you the trouble and explain something pretty simple to you: Trash is trash. It has social limitations or race lines. Having an income does not necessarily remove an individual from the hole from wence they came. Most of the time, people with "insta-celebrity" come from backgrounds that would make your hair stand up on end. With this they drag their social mores and questionable socio-economic values with them. I have seen this womans "photo shoots" along with her so-called "aliases" and I hate to tell you the first word that came to mind when I saw them. The issues you mentioned can be fixed...but it will take generations of decent jobs and at least two generations removed from "worshiping the pimp" into what is referred to as "middle-class morality." Until then, problems like this will continue.

23. Good Grief and Amy

What in the hell are you talking about? Amy, this story has nothing to do with rap. Michael Misick is the Premier of Turks and Caicos and not a rapper. Not all black people rap. Geez. Good Grief, what on earth did you read on LisaRaye that included alias'? She is an actress. Plain and simple. It has never been confirmed that her and Da Brat are really blood sisters and even if they were they are two differant people. Michael Misick is a corrupt public official who may be to young to have so much power. He publicly disrepected his wife by being seen publicly with another female "celeb" which is got all this mess started in the first place. He is also being investigated by the FBI for raping a citizen of Puerto Rico a US territory.

28. Lay off my girl Lisa. She just got her head knotted but she's got it together now. She is home and after a little R&R she will be back to her old self. I told her not to marry that kook. She got swept up in the media gushing over his so called title. He is on the down low Lisa, didn't u see it? You are absolutely too hot to step with trash. Jamie is still single. Nothing like a tete-a-tete with old homies, huh? As for who she is, if u don't know then u were not meant to know. Just like an overly large percent of you people don't know Jesus. Get u some business.

29. Unfortunately for her, LisaRaye is a Gold-digging Skank..always has been. From her previous relationship with a former NFL player to this sordid mess, she has ALWAYS been about the dollar. Don't get me wrong, I don't advocate domestic violence in any manner, however, that being said, when you base your relationships solely on a persons net worth, and what YOU can gain finachially, and you don't bother to LEARN the person you are about to LIVE with, then as the Bible says" You WILL reap, what you sow"!
