Vick from Prison: My Ass Is Getting Broker

Michael VickAt one time, not many people could say they made more money than Michael Vick. But now, if you work two hours a day at minimum wage, congrats! You've got the imprisoned QB beat.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Vick has a monthly income of $277.69 -- not including his measly prison paycheck -- while his monthly bills to maintain one of his Virginia homes are listed at $12,225. We're told by someone who can do math good that Vick ain't exactly breakin' even.

Vick filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last month -- and it doesn't look like the extra 12 cents an hour he's making in the pokey is helping.

Note to Brett Favre: Remember when Vick was on the cover of Madden? **cough, curse, cough** Watch your back, dude.

47. Boo hoo he is broke, I think he should have to suffer like he made those poor dogs suffer. To the idiot that said he will get past his legal problems, he beat, electricuted and killed dogs for fun. It isn't like he just got a speeding ticket. He is a sick man that finds pleasure it abusing animals. Would you feel the same if he had done those horrible things to children? That's probably next, people that abuse animals normally abuse humans too. I hope he rots in hell!!!

48. Ellen De Generes loves Michael Vick. She adopted a puppy for him. She plans to surprise him with the puppy after he gets out of prison.

50. (Dog) fighting has been around forever. Right or wrong. He'll rise above this. Bad or good? No idea. This world is a failure. The bad prevail. The good struggle and sometimes get ahead. All IMO.

51. He did it to himself...all that talent, all that opportunity wasted. I just shake my head at the brotha'.

52. I love dogs, but you have pedophilles walking around who have served less time, if any. You have drunk drivers who have killed people (California stars), who have not served a day in prison, seems our priorities are a little out of line.

Let the gouy out, and make him work in an animal shelter for a few years. This seems kind of stupid in comparision to who should be in prison.

54. I think this goes on morals , Little ones look up to him and think he is cool , so the whole on him is the little ones may think dog fighting is ok. When it is not , I really dont see too many pedophiles in the celebrity buisness that kids would look up to, Also if there were and the public knew about it , they d be with Micheal jackson . Personally if a kid is allowed to look up to him , Its parents needs to be evaluated.

I agree with Jazz , Vick should be in a pound doing military cleanings with a tooth brush, also see How families react to their beloved animals when they are ill or need help. Maybe a thing called Humanity might take place in him .

And just for all to Know .. I have and will always own AMSTAFFS( Pitts) AND PETA SUCKS!! THEY ARE A CULT they are for profit and publicity not for animals .

57. Yes I agree, there are drunk drivers (not only California stars, but lots of people who live across the country) who have taken innocent lives due to drunk driving who are not in prison and SHOULD BE IN PRISON. But animal cruelty is also a crime and Vick deserves to be in prison longer. He knowingly committed a crime by financing/participating in illegal dog fighting and torturing/murdering innocent dogs. Vick's a bad guy and I'm sick of hearing it's part of their culture - that's bull$hit.

58. Vick SHOULDN'T have done time at all. PETA freaks and the like wanted to make an example of him. I don't condone what he did, but hell, there are worse things being done to humans everyday and people are walking away with a slap on the wrist. Hell, it's a paradise for pedophiles. I work with so many children who were sexually and physically abused and most of the offenders haven't suffered for it. Pitbulls are always hurting or killing people too. Where's the outcry there?

59. prison or the jets...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm who got the worst deal?

Posted at 3:43AM on Aug 22nd 2008 by Ray

60. Jan you're an idiot. The case was not about kids so stop comparing. What he did was wrong on many levels. If you want to compare apples and oranges. Who knows once the thrill of killing dogs wore off he may have moved on to child rape. Vick had too much money, he got everything he wanted and was so spoiled nothing gave him a thrill any longer so he had to resort to illegal thrills.
