Vick from Prison: My Ass Is Getting Broker

61. I'm not a Michael Vick fan. Don't like him. However, jail time was unnecessary. Let's be honest, most of us wouldn't have seriously considered dog fighting illegal. That was the charge for Vick. The abuse which we are most outraged about was secondary. As horrendous as it was, jail time was inappropriate. They really wanted to get him for illegal dogfighting.
I'm non-American and I've always wondered where was the outcry, the church and law enforcement when innocent people were being lynched in the south. Vick's doing his time, Hopefully he becomes a better person, gets counselling and moves on with his life. There are worse crimes.

62. As truths are being revealed, I am beginning to believe that rather than hurting him, PETA, provided Vick an opportunity regardless of how painful to get his life together. Some mocked when Vick said he would spend his down time reading and looking within. They thought he was not being sincere. As more is revealed I begin to understand why Vick was concerned about getting his life together. I remember him continually saying that his major concern was not about football. His major concern was about MIchael Vick the individual and not Michael Vick the football player. Say what you want, Vick was naive and trusting. I am sure he was raised to trust others as I was. Along the way I learned not to trust. Hopefully Vick has learned to be cautious. He has learned what a friend is and what a friend is not. He has learned that a fan is merely a fan and that is all. A fan will love you one day and curse you the next day. Vick actually believed his fans "loved" him. He was not being vain. He was merely demonstrating his innocence.

Vick might have done many reckless things, but they were done because he was naive and easily manipulated.
As far as Vick's finances, if he learns that he has no money remaining, he will not suffer. As a child he learned to live as a poor man. Later he learned to live as a rich man. Paul said he could be happy in what ever situation he found himself in. How many can say that? I am sure that Vick could make this adaptation.

The truth is being revealed. That is good. More shockings truths will be revealed as this saga continues. That is good. My continued prayer is that "the whole truth be revealed regardless of who it hurts and exposes. I gurantee you that Vick was not involved in this alone. He was manipulated. He was a boy trying to be a man. As I tell my students age does dot make a man. I desire further disclosure about those who manipulated him. If Vick never returns to the football field, he will leave prison a free man which is what he desires. When this saga is completed Vick will come forth as someone who has gone from being a child to a man. Learning to walk can be painful because of the many fall along the way.

First of all, this case has left me shocked at the number of ignorant people who think their food originates at the gorcery store, like this "Trina" skank, who is comparing hunters to people who torture, not simply kill, but torture (I obviously need to speak slowly for some people) animals for fun. Second, nearly all of the most vicious serial killers in history began by harming animals, then graduated to people. It's a shorter trip than you think for people like that, who obviously have no feelings. Yes, there are people who are incapable of emotion; it is called anti-social personality disorder, and there is no cure. Anyone who would not watch their back around someone who is cruel to animals is not very smart. Oh, and was anyone else disgusted by the way Vick was always strutting into court all smug, like he thought it was a nightclub or something?

I could not agree more. Pedophiles and murders are NOT getting punished like Michael Vick is...but they need to be. I also believe that Michael Vick is not getting punished enough either.

I also agree that there is a weird culture in America where it is ok to kill a rabbit in the woods, but not in a pet store. I will never understand that about our culture at all.
