The cops have been summoned in Lily Tomlin's neighborhood war.
LAPD officers were called by Lily's neighbor in Sherman Oaks this morning, after Lily had her lumberjack goons chop down his trees. Lily has complained her neighbor's trees are overgrown and could fall on her house.
The cops stopped the men in trees from continuing. But when the police left, the tree dudes kept chopping away and the neighbor was piiiiised. L.A. tree officials came to scene and it looks like the guys Lily hired don't have a license to kill, so they've been stopped, at least temporarily.

Yeah, well.......Lily is probably not making any friends this way - and it sux to have hostile feelings (towards others or them towards you) when that is where your home is. I don't know if she did or not, but hopefully she at least tried to contact her neighbors and come together with an agreement on the trees. Our neighbors trees and vines have leaped over our fence they hang everywhere and cover up our own bushes and flowers.....we spend a lot of time and energy gently trimming them back (they said we could, but it would be nice to have some help). Now they have poison ivy that is going EVERYWHERE......neighbors need to be aware of how their actions (or lack of) affect others

The damages for intentionally cutting down a neighbor's trees must be trebled. If these trees added signficantly to the value of her neighbor's home she is cruising for a bruising.

Oh my God..I can totally identify with Lilly! My neighbors trees are so ugly and diseased....AND the leaves fall in my pool! The neighbors are too cheap and jealous to get the trees trimmed or cut down! Good for you Lilly!!!

1) This man is a homophobe and his rant is pure hate speech!
2) This clip does not allow us to see if the trees in question were a danger to her home .... ten to one they were!
3) Lily Tomlin has a great love for this planet and all the living things that grow and live here!
And another thing, Lily Tomlin is a major talent and a huge Star. Hollywood considers her to be a well rounded, loving person and she is respected and loved by all of Hollywood!

"Los Angeles police responded to Lily Tomlin's home today after a neighbor mistakenly accused the actress of chopping down trees on the neighbor's property, a authorities said.
Officers were called to the 3000 block of Longridge Avenue in Sherman Oaks about 11:20 a.m. following a report of a neighbor dispute, said Officer Jason Lee, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
The caller mistakenly said that one of her neighbors, later identified as Tomlin, had workers cutting down dead trees on the caller's property.
Two officers and sergeant determined that there was no further issue after "reviewing the situation and determining that the trees were within Tomlin's property," Lee said."
