76. Those who are saying now that it's cute and don't have a problem with it, obviously aren't the ones who commented and wanted you to take it down. They didn't even say anything until they saw the post about you taking it down. Those of us who want it down still want it down and everytime you bring it back up, it's just like posting it all over again. So just give it up already. Apologize to Miss Johnson and be done with it.

80. I wouldn't want the world to only say nice things about me because they felt compelled to (i.e. winning Olympic gold). No matter who you are, you will always have detractors in the world. Standing strong during adversity (whether it's a comparison to a cute mouse/rat or something far worse) is what makes an individual strong. It's how you find out who your true friends are. We all need adversity in our lives to grow and be stronger. If you think you can combat detractors or adversity through posts, you're wrong - there will always be those "ones" out there who poke fun. The secret is to have the strength, self-esteem and pride to not let it get to you. Overcoming this type of adversity is what makes Olympic medal champs. If something against Human Rights had been said (i.e. racist, sexist, etc., that would have been different, but this was just a comparison to a little mouse). Have you ever noticed that it's not the real "model types" that are the most intriguing people in this world? It's people who have something distinct about them. If Shawn has a cute, distinct look about her, that just makes her all the more intriguing. How do you people that find this comparison sooooo offensive get by in this big old worlds of ours? How do you sruvive if you can't just laugh things off? I can't imagine. Besides, have any of you heard the saying... "A rose by any other name is still a rose." It means, if you are a beautiful person, inside and out, no matter what someone else calls you, you are still a "rose". Shawn, you will always be a "rose".

85. Not that TMZ is interested in fairness, but at least you could have shown more representative pictures of her. Like the photo on her official profile at http://gymnastics.teamusa.org/athlete/athlete/588, in which she looks like the perfectly adorable young lady that she is. That said, I can't understand the ridiculous outcry about this post, especially since no one seems to get too bent out of shape when TMZ takes off after the litle children of celebs. Seems just a tad hypocritical. I passed right by this original post because 1.) It was stupid, 2.) Who in the world cares about a 40 year old cultural reference? and 3.) It's pretty clear that sometimes TMZ just does particularly mean things like this to get a reaction, and why would anyone want to encourage that?

FYI--If you're posting to this board, you clearly have no problem with gossip or with smear tactics. If you did, you wouldn't be a TMZ reader because, baby, that's what they're all about.. We all dig it (at least a little bit) or we wouldn't be here, so enough with the moral outrage already.
