I think Shawn is as cute as a button, I also think Gigio is too.
But throughout the Olympics I couldn't help but think of that little baby who is on the computer and chatting on the cell phone and talking to the audience with an adult voice...I think of Shawn when I see that commercial!!! Don't remember what the commercial is hocking...just a thought

Shawn is an absolute doll baby. Just remember that kids have a hard time being the butt of a joke, no matter how harmless. Their brains have not reached maturity and they take things personally...shame on you TMZ.

I found the comparison to be uncalled for. this isn't some no-talent hollywood starlet that deserves to be lampooned; it's a young girl that has accomplished something very significant through hard work and dedication. she doesn't deserve this.

it is funny, and their are similarities- and some readers did really go way off the deep end, but TMZ and other media should lay off the young ones until they are at least 18 or so, thats just the right thing to do, regardless of how 'entertaining' something is- i am sure everyone remembers a time when they were young and someone said something that may have embarrassed them in front of someone, now multiply that by a million- and thats probably how this girl feels- and she doesnt deserve that! come on - she is representing the U.S. , it would be more understandable if it came from China or something but we really shouldnt knock someone down during a time that should be celebrated in her honor. Have a little respect and dignity.

Since TMZ still feels it ok to exploit and humiliate a child for entertainment, I have notified TMZ's and AOL's local child protective services, child protective agencies and child protective advocates of thier actions as well as the advertisers of TMZ and AOL who support such actions and issued formal complaints. TMZ and its twisted readers who feel it ok to exploit a child for entertainment purposes, must realize that just because you may think it funny, does not make it right. TMZ, AOL and it's advertisers must realize there must be public consequences when you exploit and humiliate an innocent child for fun and profit..

TMZ could have just let this go and let Shawn Johnson get on with her life, but they had to add salt to the wound and exploit and publicly humiliate her again.

I think it funny that this time when TMZ puts back up the comparison pictures, they fail to leave out calling her a little rat like they did in the original comparison or even mention the fact that most who were against the comparison were so because TMZ called her a little rat in the orginal piece. If TMZ saw nothing wrong with what they originally did, then why did they leave out calling her a little rat this time? Because they are trying to save face this time around and make it seem like they have not crossed a line. TMZ knew it was wrong to call her a little rat and that's why they did not do it this time so they did not look as bad as before.

I urge all the people out there who agree with me what TMZ has done is wrong, to contact local child protective services, child protective agencies and child advocates in TMZ's and AOL's areas of operation and inform them that TMZ is publicly exploiting and humiliating a child, Shawn Johnson, for profit.

Also, I urge all of those that agree with me that what TMZ has done to Shawn Johnson is wrong to contact both TMZ and AOL advertisers with your complaints.

TMZ and AOL must realize that just because making fun of and exploiting a child for fun and profit is ok to them and it's twisted readers, does not make it right or ok.

Shawn is a heck of a lot cuter than most of the LA Celebutants you guys cater to. And after listening to her communicate with the media after her performances she showed a ton more dignity and intelligence that your normal Hollywood Tarts that can't speak unless it is on que cards, or responses being given to them via ear phone from their handlers.

I'm sure TMZ's poll is as accurate as the Chinese gymnasts' ages. Wink! Wink!

i was born in a town just ouside of des moines. grew up in iown. i have famliy in west des moines. my cousins take gymnastics at the same gym shawn johnson does. i rooted for her with all my heart and soul! i cried when she FINALLY got a gold. hoever, she does look like a mouse or chipmunk and she would probobly laugh at the comparison. i read some of the nasty e-mails tmz recieved...people need to get a sence of humor. lighten up!

I love how alot of these comments come from ppl saying thje TMZ is "horrible" and " useless"! if they are all these things you say they are then why do you come onto the site and bash them for the things they say??? if you dont like what they say then dont watch or enter the site...simple as that. its obvious that you ppl are just looking for some spotlight of your own using your comments rather than your talent or looks (probably cause you dont have talent or looks). grow up it just a joke!....if you dont like it there is nothing that says you have to watch the show or hit the website!!
