122. Ok...I've never, ever commented on any article on this site, but at this point, I feel compelled to add my two cents to this, even if I am late with it. Personally, I agree with everyone who is outraged by this whole situation. In the past few months, I've watched Shawn Johnson compete in the Olympic trials, Olympics, etc. I've also watched various interviews & things she's done. And, even though I'd only heard of her a time or two before that, I've discovered that she is an amazing young lady. She's represented our country in front of the world with nothing but honor, dignity, grace, & sportsmanship that belies her 16 years. And to try to make a mockery of someone such as her is absolutely classless. And that's saying nothing of the fact that these articles, which seem to keep coming up over & over again over the course of this weekend, are attacking a minor child!

Also (And, honestly, this is a very minor point in comparison.), I have to agree with everyone that the rat comparison is absolutely untrue. Shawn is absolutely adorable. Her smile is absolutely infectious, & she's growing up to be a beautiful young lady. Now, I have to admit that the mouse puppet she's being compared to is cute as well, & maybe if TMZ had gone with more of a "cute little mouse" comparison, this whole thing wouldn't have been as bad. But it was clear to me that they were going for a cheap insult that, again, is absolutely false.

So, in short, I am completely disgusted that TMZ would stoop so low as to attack this amazing & adorable young woman, much less keep rubbing salt in the would. And I hope & pray that Shawn has not seen it, or, if she has, that the mental toughness she so clearly possesses will kick in & protect her. And you can add my name to the list of people who feel that TMZ should issue both a public & private apology to Miss Johnson.

123. LOL, I kept telling my husband that she looks like a cute little mouse. I can't understand why people are taking offense to this. She is little, cute and looks like a cute little mouse, hence, TMZ's comparing her to a mouse.

125. I think that is sorta funny the Shawn Johson mouse thing and kind of informative about her. Maybe, it was meant to be offensive I don;t know the person who blogged it. I think most people's faces resmeble an animal or insect. My face resemblesa Chipmunk's. The face of aChiipmink's face. There always is nothing wrong with peope knowing that. If, peope ask me of confront I will admit too it. i used to know a person whose face looked like Scooby Doo's!!! For, real. I love Shawn Johnson. I think she is the best meber of Team USA's gymantics team . They should be so pround to have her on there team and we should be so proud she helped bring home Sliver for USA and the team. She is such an inspiration. Shawn is such an encouraging team mate and she is always giving it her best. We should be so proud that she won Gold. She is an All-Americna girl. Especially with, her award - winning Smile!!!

127. I really think TMZ should be ashamed of themselves for comparing Shawn Johnson to a rat. Teenagers worry enough about there looks and body without having jerks like you comparing them to rats. Harvey Levin needs to stick to giving his comments and opinions on the sidewalk outside of the people's court. All of the people who thought that getting compared to a rat was cute or should be taken a s compliment are a bunch of weirdos. Characters like Miss Piggy and Goofy are cute but I sure would not want to be compared to them. Shawn Johnson, who is a beautiful and talented girl, is owed an apology.

129. THE REASON WE WRITE, is because we want you to get a life and realize TMZ, staff are making up SO MANY, of the comments.
to cause people especially the younger crowd to have nasty feud's on this website, and the TMZ staff will write a comment
just waiting for someone to post against there's and sit back. A lot of kid's especially don't realize this is a game. It's not real
life and i just wanted to try to encourage other's while you may like to see celebrity's pictures, and there's nothing wrong with that, don't take it seriously and just move on. I don't have to come to this website, i do because if i can tell any teenage kid's
that TMZ CONTROLS A WHOLE LOT OF THE COMMENTS and not to take it personal, it may help and maybe hopefully a kid will move on and do something more positive. TMZ ARE LOWLIFE PEOPLE AND NOT WORTH ANYONE ELSE'S TIME KID'S.

132. Ok.. lol TMZ can be rotten at times.. but hey.. it is why we keep coming back.. this bit about comparing that girl with Topo Gigio.. I found hilarious.. personally I grew up with Topo Gigio and he was the cutest thing ever.. and looking at the pic from so long ago.. he still is.. and she is a cute girl too.. and yes.. hehe.. she has those sleepy sweet yes.. and little perky nose.. cheecks that you just want to pinch.. and sweet little smile.. sorry yeah.. she does resemble him.. not a rat.. but the sweet face of Topo Gigio.. -- grow up peeps.. she works hard for her money.. but it is this advertisement that will help sell more of the products she will be endorsing later on.. so.. suck it up. and well.. have a little giggle.

Since TMZ still feels it ok to exploit and humiliate a child for entertainment, I have notified TMZ's and AOL's local child protective services, child protective agencies and child protective advocates of thier actions as well as the advertisers of TMZ and AOL who support such actions and issued formal complaints. TMZ and its twisted readers who feel it ok to exploit a child for entertainment purposes, must realize that just because you may think it funny, does not make it right. TMZ, AOL and it's advertisers must realize there must be public consequences when you exploit and humiliate an innocent child for fun and profit.

TMZ could have just let this go and let Shawn Johnson get on with her life, but they had to add salt to the wound and exploit and publicly humiliate her again.

I think it funny that this time when TMZ puts back up the comparison pictures, they fail to leave out calling her a little rat like they did in the original comparison or even mention the fact that most who were against the comparison were so because TMZ called her a little rat in the orginal piece. If TMZ saw nothing wrong with what they originally did, then why did they leave out calling her a little rat this time? Because they are trying to save face this time around and make it seem like they have not crossed a line. TMZ knew it was wrong to call her a little rat and that's why they did not do it this time so they did not look as bad as before.

I urge all the people out there who agree with me what TMZ has done is wrong, to contact local child protective services, child protective agencies and child advocates in TMZ's and AOL's areas of operation and inform them that TMZ is publicly exploiting and humiliating a child, Shawn Johnson, for profit.

Also, I urge all of those that agree with me that what TMZ has done to Shawn Johnson is wrong to contact both TMZ and AOL advertisers with your complaints.

TMZ and AOL must realize that just because making fun of and exploiting a child for fun and profit is ok to them and it's twisted readers, does not make it right or ok.
