Actress Claims Cut-Rite Cut Wrong

An actress who played a waitress on "Everybody Loves Raymond" has filed a lawsuit against a grocery chain and Alcoa, claiming she cut herself on the teeth of a wax-paper box, like four million people do every month.

Valerie DeKeyser is going after Vons and the aluminum company, claiming she got a bad box of Cut-Rite paper. As she put it, the box "differed from other ostensibly identical units of the same product."

No word yet from Vons or Alcoa, but we have an idea for a response -- ha ha ha.

17. You have GOT to be kidding me!! I have bought an entire roll of foil that wouldn't even UNROLL. The whole thing was stuck together, and I ended up having to throw the whole roll away, I guess I should have gotten 50 grand or so from that defect. Shoot.

18. This fool and others like her are why we have so many stupid warning labels. "Caution: Contents of a cup of coffee may be hot". Well, if I buy a cup of hot coffee and it isn't hot I'm going to demand a new one. "Caution: Do not use this electrical device while taking a shower or bath." Duh! Is there anyone out there who doesn't know the dangers of mixing water and electricity? She's one of the reasons, along with all these other idiots that are causing us to have to pay so much more for our food, appliances, etc.

19. Its not worse than the estate of Danieal Kelly of Philadelphia filing suit for wrongful death. Fourteen year old Danieal Kelly was starved to death by her Mother (no intercession by the father who did not live with the family) despite having been on the Department of Human Services case list, the outside consultants did nothing and tried to cover up their lack of in action, while the Phila DHS caseworkers had the mother sign blank visitation papers months in advance. Her file was found in a box under unopened mail and dirty food wrappers in the one case workers office. The story is so sad and the lack of response from so MANY involved in her case is just unforgivable. This suit is has now been refiled as a class action suit for 28,000 children. The only people I see benefiting from this is the lawyers. And the people that should be held most responsible for this are Danieal's parents. This is what our legal system has devolved into.
