Charlize Theron -- Monster in Denver

The point of the Democratic Convention -- to put the Dem's message out to America -- was totally lost on Charlize Theron who arrived at the Denver Airport in attack mode.

Charlize went nuts on our cameraman, who asked her about her support of Barack Obama. She would be the only person in Denver -- far as we know -- who apparently views the Convention as a private affair, peons not invited.

It's possible she's in town for a film festival, but still, she's a vocal Barack supporter and we're guessin' she knows the Convention's in town.

She did her level best to simply ignore him and walk as quickly as possible.

She was actually quite polite and restrained considering an utter stranger was harrassing her and following her.

67. Jeff, she IS a U.S. citizen. And since when are people not allowed to move here and participate in the political process? The vast majority of us are descended from immigrants, so why should she not be allowed to join us? She lives here and has become a citizen. Just like millions of others.

What credentials are necessary to attend a convention? You really don't have knowledge of the purpose a convention do you?

If you did, you'd know credentials are not necessary. But then again, can you define credential? I thought not.

As for Ms. Theron, you and no one else has any information as to why she flew to Denver. However, as an American citizen she may attend any political conventions she chooses at any time of her choosing. All American votes and opinions are equal.

Kudos to Ms. Theron for insisting on her Constitutional right to privacy.

How many people are going to keep posting that she is not a US citizen because she is from South Africa? Let's see a show of hands from those who learned in elementary school that people can actually move to the U.S. and apply for citizenship. I think you learn that in 4th or 5th grade, and I'm assuming everyone posting here has at least gotten through grade school (although looking at some of the comments it may not seem like it).

75. Denver is a hub anyway. People are just ASSUMING that she is there for the convention. And further they are assuming that she has a role in it or something. She may have other business in Denver, or she simply may want to attend the convention.

Sounds like a lot of jealous people posting completely irrational stuff here. All that "how dare she" crud. She's just trying to get to her car without being bugged, and look at how up in arms people are getting.
