Charlize Theron -- Monster in Denver

The point of the Democratic Convention -- to put the Dem's message out to America -- was totally lost on Charlize Theron who arrived at the Denver Airport in attack mode.

Charlize went nuts on our cameraman, who asked her about her support of Barack Obama. She would be the only person in Denver -- far as we know -- who apparently views the Convention as a private affair, peons not invited.

It's possible she's in town for a film festival, but still, she's a vocal Barack supporter and we're guessin' she knows the Convention's in town.

106. GOOD FOR HER!

She could have, and maybe should have, said far worse; what's the big deal about what she did?

It's her right not to get bugged and the bugger didn't respect her boundaries.

Not every celebrity is a media whore, and I admire more the ones who aren't.

107. Lydia,

Certainly mostly the "in" politicos and the big money supporters are the ones who get the invites, but there are always the token invitees who are meant to represent diversity and such. It's true for both major parties. We'll see single mom's with no health insurance, or an injured military member, perhaps a small-businessman, and so on. All part of the spectacle of it all, and certainly not based on some set of "credentials."

108. I was talking about who should speak at the convention. Not just some idiot who fell of the turnip stand.

109. Thanks. I always thought it was mostly the delegates.

110. That could be one reason why so many actors and actresses in Hollywood are Democrats. They lose clout if they don't join a political side.

111. Sherry, I'm thinking that you are the one who just fell off the turnip truck. A bigoted, narrow-minded one at that.

112. And you my dear are just one insipid and gullible person. Take your polictally P.C. blinders off and see what makes the real world go around.

114. She wasn't a monster. She was just trying to walk through an airport and get into a car and this reporter wouldn't leave her alone. Why don't you leave her alone. It is stupid! How desparate are some to bother others to make money and when the people being bothered asked for privacy or say go away. Then they are called crazy or rude. THAT REPORTER WAS HARASSING HER...

115. Sherry is correct about Jewish people owning Hollywood. They invented it, and they pretty much own it too. There is a good book written about it.

117. If you are Republican and a actor in Hollywood, you might as well kiss your career good-bye. You are out of the norm. Jon Voight is already being taken down.

118. Maybe she wasn't too happy about being photographed without her usual glamorous hair and makeup. Can't blame her!

119. I am sure that I would want a camera shoved in my face as soon as I got off the plane... Charlize was justifiably angry because she was making a very obvious effort to let people know she wasn't in the mood for press and the dude wouldn't take the hint. I think she handled herself better than 90 percent of people, most anyone else would have told the guy to get bent. I think she acted completely professional, she didn't use profanity and asked nicely for him to leave her alone before getting irate.

120. To #116 - Mr. Voight is an established and accomplished artist who has made his money and left his mark in Hollywood. I highly doubt that at his age, he gives a rat's azz about what Hollywood thinks about him or what they can do for him.

It is well known that the Hollywood crowd hates anyone who is a Republican and try their best to promote their liberal views. For that reason, I rarely go the movies and if I do, I know who the actors, producers and directors are. The truth is I will not give the liberal crowd my hard earned money!!

Mr. Voight has a movie/comedy coming out in either Sept. or Oct. and because I like him, I will spend the money to watch him.

Posted at 11:54PM on Aug 26th 2008 by I will spend my money to watch Jon Voight anyday!!
