Nazi Trucks Cause Furor

Why Tom Cruise thought it would be a good idea to make a movie about Nazis is anyone's guess.

But the latest bad news to hit the production of that Nazi picture is a $12 mil lawsuit filed against United Artists and Cruise by a group of extras who were injured when a side panel of a Nazi-era truck gave way -- and spilled them all onto the street. They all had to go the hospital, one with possible internal injuries.

Cruise was not on set at the time of the accident.

16. I don't get why we're even talking about Tom Cruise. He was so '80's it's not even funny anymore.
I have noticed though....as he gets older he gets fuglier. He's just gross and he's a washed up has been.
Classic case of him letting all this fame go to his pee sized head.

18. LA CABALLOTA IVY QUEEN, I think scientology is more of an insanity than a sect. I don't think we share a religion since mine doesn't believe in heaven or hell but there was definitely an omnipotent creator whom we should all praise. I agree with you that I feel sorry for the people who think that everything ends with death. For them, it will. Pobrecitos.

19. This movie is some attempt by Scientology to conquer Germany, already it's 2nd largest source of income, in the characteristic foot-bullet Scientology style. The top leadership of Scientology allegedly had a meeting on how they could "conquer" Germany, since German officials are concerned about fascist and totalitarian movements like Scientology.

20. Fortunately the accident seems to be a medical routine case.

It maybe of interest, that the last
preStauffenberg attempt to kill Hitler
by a solely craftsman in 1935? was
criticized as not justified by moral philosophy
in a dissertation in germany.
After that Hitler "showed up" without
any plan, unexpected in time and place as possible.

You cannot kill a "legal" leader of
a state on the ground of information
available to the normal citizen, was the argument.

Of course the dissertation was sharply critiqued itself.
The professor surveying it had to leave his position.
Ironically the same professor was sharply critiqued himself
again for arguing in favors for What?
For tolerance for the scientology church in germany.
