Denver Cops Make ABC Reporter Their B*tch

When a cop tells you to move, you probably should move.

Instead, the man in this video -- an ABC News producer in Denver for the convention -- told the officer, "Hold on." Not a smart move.

The cop didn't take too kindly to that and took it upon himself to move the producer himself. After the cop pushed him into the street, he then told the producer, Asa Eslocker, he was blocking traffic. According to ABC News, things eventually got heated and Eslocker was arrested and charged with trespass, interference and failure to follow a lawful order.

62. 54. This is why CANADA is better than the UNITED STATES. Here in Canada you can stand on a sidewalk without being harassed by the boys in blue. In the UNITED STATES it's a bunch of cowboys and Indians running wild with guns.

God Bless Canada!

65. It is against the law to not comply to an officer's requests. I'm glad the arrogant idiot got arrested, I have a feeling more happened before the camera started rolling and when the camera cut off. If an officer says put your arms behind you back and you don't then that's resisting arrest and they have the right to use the force necessary to make you comply. I don't see anything wrong with what they did. Maybe some of you who are so critical should stand on a city street in a uniform and see how your treated. Respect the police and they will respect you. "I'm sorry officer I'm moving right now" is all he had to say, but he didn't and you saw how that worked out for him.
Also I love the sergeant with the cigar, that's just cool.

66. For what it's worth, Asa is a friend of ours, and is a great guy,and a good reporter for ABC News. I'm sure there is more to this story than we saw here...Don't judge too quickly either way!

67. #48 I wrote that I meant the ARE NOT sorry typo if you really look hard at the video the officer didnt push him in the road until the idiot reporter was already half way in the road he was walking beside him....Because of all the Democratic convention stuff and the higher security issues the officers are under orders they were doing them and the officer in question was probably thinking "I am going home to my family tonight!" People have to listen to officers they are here to keep us safe....like I said before I dont know what led up to the reporter being asked to move but I know once a officer says move they mean it you do it or you get arrested....period....Stop bashing the officers for doing their job....

69. Agree with other people said here, the cops are stupid power hungry jerks who can't get another job. They get their rocks off harrassing people and ordering ppl around and trying to flaunt their power. They are just over zealous morons. Dont they have anything better to do....good grief.

71. #61 - in India today there was so much violence that a curfew was in effect and the police were given orders to shoot any curfew violators on sight. That is a police state. These officers put their lives on the line everyday to protect american cities from situations like that. All you whiners should spend some time in other countries and see how gov'ts treat their people, and maybe you'd be a little less concerned about one arrogant punk who got pushed into the street. He didn't get hit by a car did he, he's fine. He deserved what he got.

73. So much for Protect and Serve. It is sad that we have come to live in a Police state where the cops abuse power and do what ever the hell they want. The old motto of protect and serve is such a joke these days there new motto should be ABUSE & LIE.

74. If a cop tells you to move and he has no reason to, then moving only encourages a cop's sense of entitlement and power. Cops necessarily have finite powers and they should not be allowed to exceed them, just as civilians should not. That said, it's totally unclear from this video whether that was the case or whether Asa was indeed interfering with something.

75. Does Denver have any cops that are not obese or overweight?
