Denver Cops Make ABC Reporter Their B*tch

When a cop tells you to move, you probably should move.

Instead, the man in this video -- an ABC News producer in Denver for the convention -- told the officer, "Hold on." Not a smart move.

The cop didn't take too kindly to that and took it upon himself to move the producer himself. After the cop pushed him into the street, he then told the producer, Asa Eslocker, he was blocking traffic. According to ABC News, things eventually got heated and Eslocker was arrested and charged with trespass, interference and failure to follow a lawful order.

91. And by the way to all who think being a cop in or around Denver only need a high school degree are sadly mistaken my husbands uncle is a lieutenant in charge of the entire Aurora police department crime lab......at one point my husband was looking into being an officer in Denver....you DO have to have a bachelor degree to be an officer not just a freaking high school diploma so before you rattle off stupidity and bad spelling about something you know nothing about then maybe you should go back to school yourself and do a little research.......and you might want to look at what is going on right now in Denver..........not to mention the fact the way police officers are treated these days a little respect goes a long ways........
And where is the rest of the video? There is a break in the coverage........and the audio totally sucks you cant even hear what the guy is saying to the cop to provoke such a response.........WE dont know the whole story so arguing and calling names are not going to settle the issue....I am sure it will be investigated and the truth will prevail

92. More like.

Cop: "You're under arrest for murder."
Perp: "But I didn't murder anyone"
Cop: "But you're impeding traffic."

93. Hey "for all you haters" who cares? I don't care if the fat pig went to school for 30 years, that doesn't make it ok for him to abuse his power, make up lies and put innocent civilans in danger. The guy is there to keep the peace, not be an abusive thug. Stop sticking up for a-holes.

94. People constantly amaze me....oh yes, let's sue the cop who was doing his job and clearly stated what was to be done and let's sympathize with the man who said, "hold on" and clearly disobeyed. It's really simple. Cop says move and you don't = bad ; Cop says move and you do = good, no matter if you're on public or private property. Even if you move and then go back, it's a heck of a lot smarter than saying, "hold on." I wouldn't think it's a hard concept, But hey, the line between right and wrong is getting more and more blurred until no one is going to want to be a cop for fear of being ripped to shredds by the ignorant masses and all you whiners of abuse out there will be praying for someone to save your butts from a bully smarter and stronger than you.

96. #77 Rachel This is according to the Denver Police Departments website regarding the hiring criteria to become an officer...

Acceptable proof of a high school diploma or GED certificate will be required if you are selected to proceed beyond the video test. Acceptable substitutes for a high school diploma or GED certificate include an original certified high school transcript bearing the official school seal and showing graduation date, or an original letter from the school on the school's letterhead which verifies the graduation

97. Watching this video completely angered me. This cop was a worthless jerk bully. The reporter didn't do anything that could have justified being shoved into the street and choked in the throat. Most cops are just high school bullies that grew up and now have a badge that allows them to continue their arrogant, despicable behavior. I have a friend that works for a state agency that investigates bad cops, and I was SHOCKED at the reports I saw - cops raping women on traffic stops, beating unarmed teens to death, dealing drugs, etc.

I have no trust in these pigs and I hope that the reporter sues the Denver police for a huge sum of money to make them think twice before they assault another citizen standing on a public sidewalk. This makes my stomach turn.

100. FIVE cops, one with a cigar in his mouth, one at least 150 pounds overweight and all five basically throwing their weight around. Loved the body language of the cop who walked away after they handcuffed and arrested the roporter - the one chewing gum. A little common sense from the fat cop and there would not have been a problem. IMO the reporter was no threat and would have done as the cop asked but the cop seized the opportunity to put on a little show for everyone watching. I agree with the others who suggested that the reporter press charges against the cops - all FIVE of them.

104. I just watched that video. The cameraman is taking up way more room than the guy on the phone. If it was such an emergency that you have to shove a man through traffic, in the middle of the DNC , without regard to his or any drivers lifes. then would you not do the same to the camera man who is taking up 4 times as much space?
This is America. Just because someone has a badge they do not get the right to tell you what to do, how to do, and when to do it. They have to have a legal reason. "Move you as*hole, just because I told you too!" Is not a legal reason, and endgangering him and other innocents who happen to be driving by, is a criminal act on his part.

105. Just a sign of things to come in an Obama presidency, 1st Amendment violations, jail for standing on a public sidewalk filming democrats and their big money players. Just think we can even have polital prisons. Oh won't socialism/communism be wonderful!!!!
