If you're a VIP going to the U.S. Open, forget about betting on the tennis -- you won't even get in the front door.
We're told the high rollers in Flushing Meadow are now required to sign a document promising they won't gamble on tennis or have anything to do with gambling on tennis....and no signature, no VIP pass. It applies to all players, umpires, big-time VIPs, and credential holders.
The USTA put this in place because of betting scandals at the French Open last year. This is anything but a game for the US Open -- we're told they even hired a security firm run by former NYPD Police Commissioner Howard Safir to "monitor" any gambling activity.

(Page 1 of 1)So what has that have to do with anything. People are going to gamble no matter what they sign. The USTA are a bunch of pompous stuffed shirt a-holes and BTW the williams sisters suck
Don't think many people care about the US Open this year. Only reason I'd watch it would be to see the hottest chick in the world - Maria Sharapova. But she's not competing in the Open this year, so I'm not watching or going. And all the TV coverage this week is about the coronation of MSNBC's favorite Obama.
I guess I'll have to rescind my bet on the gender of the Williams sisters.
