Bijou Phillips and her Scientoloboyfriend Danny Masterson paid a visit to Bijou's jailed half-sister last night, trying to bail her out, but Mackenzie Phillips rejected the offer.
We're told several bail bondsmen came to the pokey and discussed bail, but Mackenzie said she was broke and just wanted to stay behind bars.
16. I have to laugh at all the ignorance ... addiction is a disease, people! Some "get" recovery some don't! I'm guessing she wants to stay in jail because it is the safest place for her right now. She has enough recovery in her to know what is ahead of her. Good luck, McKenzie!

17. If I were her I'd want to stay in jail too if Danny Masterson (a known life-long SCIENTOLOGIST) and sister Bijou Phillipps (a Scientology convert) were trying to bail ME out. God knows what crazy "program" would she have to go into as a condition of THEIR "help".

18. this is just sad - her crazy brilliant dad got her started on that path as a CHILD - i don't see any humor or get any satisfaction out of knowing that she still struggles with her addiction issues. and i find most of the opinions here really cruel....

20. Oh, my! Anyone who would want to stay in JAIL must be in really sad shape. I feel so sorry for anyone who is addicted to drugs, even cigarettes. It's not like they WANT to be...it just is. Only the strongest of the strong can beat it.

22. I worked with MacKenzie back in the 90's when she was "clean." She struggled back then too but worked very hard at covering up her anguish.I know she worked very hard to abstain from using but obviously years later, she has fallen off the wagon. The saddest thing of all is her Son who has had to deal with all of this his whole life. Jail may be just the place for her to get her "act" together.

POINT BEING: Only the strongest of the strong can beat it. If these losers really wanted to get off the drugs they would. They are no better than criminals. Perhaps, if laws were more strict, these people would rethink and want to stop using. Withdrawals at a rehab facility or withdrawals in jail or prison? Lawmakers also need to diligently go after these drug dealers as well and the crooked politicians, officials and customs agents who are making payoffs & money that allow the drugs into this country. They are the one's feeding these addictions.

27. What else do you expect? Both her parents were addicts! Do you think she stood a chance? It's not all of her fault. Her parents being addicts made things at least twice as rough on her. Her parents shouldn't of had children. NO DRUG ADDICTS SHOULD!

30. Drugs are an addiction, much like overeating, alcoholism and sitting in front of your computer posting comments all day long, every day. For those of you who say that these people are merely weak, pathetic losers why don't you try living without sitting in front of your computers for a just a weekend and see how well you do.
