32. I think it's wonderful that Mr. Martin was able to have children, I congratulate him on his new family. I do however take issue with the woman that carried his twins. She's 26 years old and has already carried 5 babies for $$$$$ and plans to continue doing so. I think there should be a law that limits the number of times a surrogate can carry a baby/babies for profit. Are surrogates taxed for their services or are they paid under the table?
There are so many issues at hand here.

33. To #5 Dave, got news for you...having children is serious bousiness. If you do not have time for a serious relationship or committment you have no damn business having children. They in themselves are a full time job. And simply because one may be financially set does not mean they are parenting material. You need to think again Dave before deciding to bring children into the world. And let me tell you this, once you have one, the job never ends. It only gets tougher as they get older. Believe me I am not anti child in any way but I am only being truthful. If you are not ready to settle down, don't have children. That is so selfish. They need parents who are there for them, not parents who look upon them as a status symbol. grow up Dave. Ricky Martin may be gay...who cares.....he may be a hands on parent...he may not. But having a child through surrogacy because you are not ready to settle down is ludicrous.

38. This GAY man should just admit he is gay and quit with this charade once and for all. Only the Clay Aikens of the world run around passing sperm to women because their thingy does not work in the sack with a chick. As a married woman who has struggled to have a baby, it disgusts me and angers me how celebrities make babies as if they are buying a tailored suit. Shame Ricky! A baby should be a product of some loving union, gay or straight...not for gay playboys who do not have time for anyone, let alone a baby!!!!!!

40. Here's the thing about this society.

Assuming he's heterosexual and wanted kids, he would most likely have to get with a woman, form a relationship and have children from that relationship. But due to the insanity of the court system running rampant and stripping most men of everything they have, I think men are CRAZY to get married.

He is probably protecting his own interests. He now has children without having the crazy divorce proceedings, or custody issues. Good for him!

But then again....he might be gay. :)

You have no proof this woman is not reporting her income to the IRS. Why should she be limited on how many children she can bear for those who cannot, while there are mothers on welfare breeding like rabbits? 3 pregnancies total is not a big deal, even in the U.S. I fail to see the issue or why a surrogate should be limited any more than any other woman is limited.
