Celebrity Justice
Fred Taylor -- Jacksonville Jackass

We've just gotten the Jacksonville Jaguar Fred Taylor arrest report early Saturday morning, and it's like a clinic on how NOT to deal with the popo.

First, says the arresting officer, Taylor got "vocal" and began to "argue" with cops and "attempted to insite [sic] the crowd of bystanders" when they wanted to search his Benz for guns. Then, when they sent a sniffer pooch to look for drugs, Fred really got testy, yelling, "Get that f***ing dog out of the car."

It got so bad, the cops gave up and just booked his ass for disorderly conduct. Taylor apologized to fans and the owner of the Jags for the incident.

16. Unfortunately I am a huge football fan and when these bozos do things like this I just wonder why do the teams keep them??
There are always new awesome players coming into the league and if the commisioners hand doesn't come down on them it only leads to bad behavior from other players. Football has been around for a long long time and up until the last 15 or 20 years this crap wasn't almost unheard of!! Commisioner are hearing this??? Get rid of any player that is arrested for anything and this should be in their contract, if it is not already!!!

17. I read TMZ everyday and I was soo disappointed when I read "Jacksonville Jackass". That couldn't be farther from the truth! We have so many kids in the world that play sports and look up to these athletes. I've done plenty of promotional work with several NFL stars and FRED TAYLOR IS ONE OF THE NICEST, MOST APPROACHABLE PLAYERS I've ever worked with. The TMZ staff should do research (atleast a simple police background check) on the Athletes that they write about. I understand poking fun at a celebrity that's constantly in the spot light and constantly makes poor choices, but TMZ is the one who made the bad choice this time. It will make me think twice when I read a TMZ story now wondering how much (if any) of it is true.

18. What were the Vegas odds the first NFL player to be arrested this season would be a Jaguar? At least the Bengals are off the hook.

19. I agree with comment 17 from "Disappointed TMZ Fan."

This TMZ article just shows how people just put people in a certain category because of who they are. Fred Taylor is a mature, accomplished, and responsible person.

TMZ should be ashamed. It would be a more responsible article if they had asked the police for a statement as to why Taylor was pursued in the first place. The real story here is why the police were so zealous. They obviously came up with nothing, zero, nada, which is no surprise since Fred Taylor has always kept his nose clean.

Disgusting, though, that so many people look at the headline, see an NFL star, and instead of actually reading what ACTUALLY happened, they just say to themselves, "It figures," and then they go and post their vile hatred here.

Shameful.
