Howard K Stern says he smells the two rats who allegedly concocted lies and fed them to Rita Cosby in her tell-all book -- and the rodents are Jackie Hatten and Mark Speer, Larry Birkhead's former bodyguard.
TMZ has obtained a copy of a defamation lawsuit Stern just filed in L.A. County Superior Court. He claims Hatten -- the sister of Anna Nicole Smith's crazy ex-con ex-boyfriend Mark -- fed lies to Cosby, including the one that Stern gave lip service to Larry B ... in a Paris Hilton kind of way. Cosby's already been sued for publishing the allegation ... et tu, Jackie.
And there's more ... Stern is also suing Mark Speer, the dude Debra Opri hired to bodyguard Birkhead. Larry fired Speer, and Stern claims the scorned heavy then made up lies, which he spoon fed to Cosby. The alleged lies include claims that Stern was stealing money from Anna and striking back door deals with Birkhead over Dannielynn.
Stern is suing Hatten and Speer for unspecified damages.
BTW, Mark Hatten was busted for DUI today.

Yes, indeed, and for those busy counting docs requested versus docs OK'd for transfer to HKS, many seem to forget that what is most important are the 'investigation' files of Clark/Wilma and the internet blog entries from Wilma and her team under various monikers - those HKS gets!
It's been amusing to see how many bloggers gleefully claimed to be Wilma (Oh Really!) on the blogs or the few who have said they were just fooling around with b.s. posts to get a rise from Stern supporters. Today HKS/Wood will know exactly who was mounting a salacious campaign to sway public opinion against HKS & LB and their internet monikers and so on.
The Judge already ruled that the Clark/Wilma 'investigation' was made public by posting it on TMZ and other blogs by Wilma and those she either recruited or paid. Furthermore, HKS gets to depose both Clark and Wilma about their entire internet activities AFTER the cut-off date of O'Q's last alleged defamatory statements of 03/27/07. Pro-HKS posters have been saying for 1.5 years that this board and others were infested with O'Q/VA operatives and it's all there in black & white that what we said was in fact the truth.
We have discussed already that the so-called investigation by Clark/Wilma probably is a notebook filled with lies, rumors and innuendos by all sorts of crazy or axe-to-grind types that has long since been proven wrong by real Investigative Authorities and Courts and was never reasonably believable in the first place.
This is the biggest development in a long time in the ANS saga - the chickens are fast coming home to roost and O'Q and his people and bloggers are being exposed for their dirty deeds. O'Q will have to hope the Judge takes mercy on him and doesn't just default the case in HKS's favor when O'Q responds by this Friday.
As you pointed out earlier, the O'Q and Cosby cases are heavily intertwined. In both cases, the Clark/Wilma Team and VA are being blamed for providing 'facts' or strong opinions that were relied upon by O'Q and Cosby. It's hard to imagine that people don't see that two separate defendants being sued by HKS have both thrown Clark/Wilma/bloggers and VA under the bus while trying to save their own butts.

Their 'employer' was not very good at directing the effort, but the groupies so loved their task that they came to rise above the concocted stories and lies they told about Dannielynn, Anna Nicole, Larry and Howard. They fell in love with each other and got carried away with the game. McCabe played into their little 'blogger' outings and made a complete fool of himself with the crazy parade of filings in Houston federal court--it wa just plain obscene. A foolish display of mediocrity in order to retaliate for the exposure of WV and her Net palsie walsies traipsing about the Bahamas telling bizarre and self-serving tales. The madness of these operatives (as you call them) was obvious and always a discredit to their team. It wouldn't be hard to throw any of them under the bus--they deserve it.

I do not read here as a rule, but after reading comments by Swim that have been copied and posted on other sites, I just had to come and read first-hand. It has been a very enjoyable read. I am elated that things are going great for Howard. O'Q just doesn't know how to handle himself, since the rules are different in Flordia, than in Texas. (Thank the powers that be and L.Wood).
I loved the statement that O'Q had circled the firing squad around him..... he deserves it! IMO

I agree with you. Back in the day, there was a hardcore set of monikers used to drive home the O'Q/VA line while assuring other innocent VA bloggers that they were 'in the know' and 'next month will be better', etc.
Everything this hardcore set posted for months ended up later in Cosby's defamatory book despite being thoroughly debunked here and on other blogs. Their unsuccessful tactic of trying to dismiss entire arguments by saying a poster was someone involved with or was one of the principals while never addressing the substance of those arguments, got real old and tiring (and continues among some even today). You would think that 'innocent' bloggers who support VA would also be interested in finding out who deliberately fed them lies, rumors and innuendos from O'Q's people that have only hurt VA in the long run and demolished her foreseeable chances of being part of DL's life.
As a side note, it will also be interesting to find out if O'Q and his Team's bloggers were responsible for the steady stream of anti-gay & anti-Jewish rhetoric that flooded TMZ or if those bloggers were just the 'TMZ groupies' who throw out disgusting comments on almost every thread TMZ puts up every day. Read any story on TMZ with several pages of comments and you will find some people who, not advisably, pour out their life story (real or imagined) or claim an acquaintance with the principal of the story, in order to gain a perceived prominence among posters on the subject matter at hand.
The countdown is on for O'Q, Clark/Wilma and their bloggers. As the O'Q lawsuit goes, so goes all the related lawsuits.

To those who are reading and expressing appreciation--THANKS! It's not exactly comparable to the early 19th century Jefferson-Adams voluminous correspondence, but we do try. Adams wrote six letters to every one of Jefferson. :-) This stage of the saga revolves around the lawsuits, mainly the Florida one with a bit of commiseration thrown in by the rest of us when looking back and reliving the tempestuous days of yore on TMZ last year.

I think we can all acknowledge (the proof exists in black and white as you say) that antisemitic and homophobic propaganda was part of the spin from Team Texas--and it was deliberate and malicious AND continues to this day. When reading the emails released by O'Quinn's secretary--the 'Jewish Mafia' story was esconced within some of them and the names of the perps were right there as well as their email addies. This was email from WAY BACK WHEN. The homophobia goes hand in hand with the antisemitism and all bigotry for that matter --IMO.

Yes, the final countdown and I can hear that song in my brain as I write it--the domino theory of crumbling lawsuits. Just to speculate for now--I had a sense of the judge PRODDING Lin Wood as if to say, "Look here, what are you going to do now that the defendant has gone into technical default for three weeks? Come on, let's get this show on the road already." I also have a sense of the defendant wishing to 'fess up to most of the allegatons and take responsibility for what his investigators 'told him' and the 'opinions of his client, VA' and that it was all a bunch of baloney known as a sideshow from the circus. After all, as you pointed out, O'Quinn rushed in AFTER THE FACT to respond with some old nonsense and arguments that were already ruled upon long ago.
