Johnny Depp was one repressed urge away from sucking face with another dude this weekend -- when a reunion concert with his old band took a sudden homo-erotic turn on stage.
Edward Wanderinghands hit the stage in Pompano, Florida with his bandmates, The Kids, when suddenly Depp found himself battling his weakness for the sweaty, afro'd, sideburned type.

21. The guy is Bruce Witkin, Johnny's old bandmate and a friend since childhood. He is a great guy and as straight as they come, you homophobes. The concert is in memory of Bruce's late mother. I am sure the audio is just bad... if you want to hear true, great power-pop, look up the band Supremium and have a listen. It's The Kids minus Johnny plus Coz Canler (from the Romantics). Give them a listen.

22. I recall seeing Johnny and his band play in Fort Lauderdale many times! It was a fun time for all, especially AFTER the show ended! He was always a great looking guy and very personable :)

23. I was at the concerts both nights in Pompano Beach. Johnny and Bruce were not kissing, were not "sucking some serious face" or even close to it. They were singing back up to "Be My Baby" using the same mic, and were joking around with each other as they sang, "Be my...be my baby...my one and only baby" and looked into each other's eyes, making faces at each other. It was done in jest to make the crowd laugh. They played that same song both nights, and did the same thing both nights...and both nights it got a laugh out of the crowd.
By the way, TMZ, you referred to the other person with Johnny in the photo as "the other guitarist." Instead of writing stupid moron statements like you've written to go along with this video, why don't you do your homework and find out who "the other guitarist" is? That's Bruce Witkin, son of the late Sheila Witkin, whom the concerts are honoring. This was the 2nd Annual Sheila Witkin Memorial Concert, and all the money went to the Dan Marino Foundation's charities for children in the S. Florida area. Johnny, Bruce and the other two Kids members, Joey and Beano, grew up as teenagers in bands together and consider themselves brothers. They have stayed in touch and are still close friends. Sheila Witkin was instrumental in the South Florida music scene in the late 70's and early 80's , managed several bands in that area, managed a nightclub where the bands could play, and more than anything else, she was "Mom" not only to her son, Bruce, but to all the young guys who were in those bands. She served as surrogate mother, second mother, friend, confidant, counselor, teacher, or whatever those guys needed at that time in their lives.
Bruce lives in L.A. and owns Unison Music where he records other artists and also produced Johnny's singing tracks for "Sweeney Todd." Bruce has also worked with Vanessa Paradis (Johnny's partner) on her music career. He is a music writer, producer, and talented musician with his own band in the L.A. area called Supremium.
If TMZ doesn't want to bother to find out any information on "the other guitarist" in the photo with Johnny, I thought it only right that TMZ readers know more about Johnny's bandmate - "the other guitarist."
In addition to Bruce being there to honor his late mother, Bruce's very talented 16-year-old daughter, Veronica Witkin (or "V") was also there with her band "The Dolls" from the L.A. area. She is the granddaughter of the woman being honored at the concerts that weekend. It's really disgusting that TMZ can't think of anything better to do than try to make something sleazy out of what was a very brief, funny moment that made Bruce and Johnny laugh, as well as the crowd laugh.
