31. I applaud this young man for wanting to be at the side of Bristol through all of this. He isn't being dragged into anything. They had choices to make when they made the choice to have sex. There are consequences of that decision. Many people go on to have wonderful lives inspite of having babies at a young age. There are tons of people who go to grad school while working a full time job and having a family to support; my son in law is one of them. This young couple can do the same.

Where is your faith in humanity? Give this young couple the space to show what they are made of.

It seems to me the liberals are so nervous that McCain will actually get elected now with Sarah Palin on the ticket that they will pick at anything and everything. It really makes you look foolish!

34. The hypocrisy of most of the comments to the item on Palin’s daughter is not only breathtaking, but entirely misdirected. While it is the VP nominee’s daughter that is involved here, the Democrats have candidates with truly serious personal moral indiscretions. Of recent vintage is John Edwards, but the long list includes Spitzer, Clinton, the Kennedy’s, Frank, Studds, Reynolds, Inouye, Savage, and many, many more. Glass houses all.

The HYPOCRISY is when a person or party holds themselves up to be the moral compass for the rest of the country, pretending that God is on THEIR side, that they are the ones who are good, have high standards, and are just damn-near perfect human beings, and then get caught with their pants around their ankles. 43. As I read through most of the commy lib comments. I'm reminded that America is a free to travel country. If you don't like what happens in America your free to get your ass out. In fact I would suggest that most of you perfect parents who of course have perfect children, take those perfect children with you. AND START YOUR OWN COUNTRY SOME PLACE ELSE. The weak lame candidate your party chose has said all he knows to say, and now your in trouble. He blew his chance to put Hillary on the ticket, which he should have done. If he's not able to make as clear a choice with Hillary as it seemed to be? How will he handle the hard stuff? The only reason he's a candidate at all is the commy mass media that props him up, and campaigns for him. If he didn't have Perky Katie, and Smug no it all Brian, and washed up old wrinkled Charlie, and lets not leave out the Clinton News Network. There will be an investigation into the practices of the mass media as it pertains to improper influence of a national election, after McCain is elected. He will clean up your mess if you don't. The first amendment will no longer protect you. You've gone way beyond the bounds on this one. Suggestion? If your going to ask VP Palin if she can be a mom and VP at the same time, ask berry Obama if he can be a father and President at the same time. Seems like a bit of a double to me?

44. Does anybody seriously believe that they are actually going to get married? It's just a publicity stunt to deflect attention away from the teenage pregnancy. Even if they do continue with the charade the probability of a long marriage in that young of a marriage is very low. The guy was simply over-testosteronated like most jocks, that's all he was interested in. Palin IS the typical soccer mom... she's so busy with her own career that she forgot to actually be involved and communicating with her children in a meaningful way. By the way, did you see how skankily dressed her younger daughter was ? That's another teenage pregnancy in a few years.

45. At first I was for Gov. Palin as VP. But now she has too much on her personal plate to be able to serve as Vice-President or, God forbid, President. She herself has just given birth to a Down syndrome baby that will need all her attention (we have a Down syndrome young adult in our family who will always need supervision) and she also has an under-age unmarried pregnant daughter who will give birth in a few months. Her first duty is as a mother - is there a woman who doesn't understand that? These two family obligations cannot be managed away - she needs to bow out gracefully now to allow John McCain to select another, less burdened candidate as quickly as possible. As a mother her family MUST come first.
