18. I don't understand why everyone gets so up in arms with this whole President thing. Most people should know that the President never really makes any key decisions concerning this country. All decisions are made by those with the most money and therefore power. A vote for Obama or a vote for McCain will yield the same result. This country is screwed as long as the richest people in the world run things. Anyone that disagrees with what I just said is a complete moron.

Boycott the '08 Election. Tell the powers that be that we will not settle for this anymore.

21. Sarah Palin is anti-choice and pro-ignorance.....obviously, whatever "abstinence only" talk she had with Bristol was ineffective, and she does not speak for me in any way. Her political views are the antithesis of Hillary Clinton's so I hope that all of Hillary's supporters will now vote for Obama. But I think it's really unkind the way people are calling Bristol a "whore" and, worse, calling her baby brother a "retard". Those of us who support reproductive choice aren't anti-baby, we just want to be able to make our own decisions. about birth control and yes, abortion....and Republicans are notorious for loving the fetus until it's born, then not voting to give $$ to programs designed to help young mothers and children, which is pretty hypocritical.

22. I have to laugh when left wing nuts say Palin has no experience. She is VP. Look who you have running for President. He has no experience. And as far as attacking the daughter, may I remind you that Obama's mom was a teen when she had him?

23. HC, you dumbass. That was the stupidest bunch of drivel I've read yet. You moan that Palin won't be ready to take over if something happens to McCain, and in the same breath talk about how Obama's back-up is ready....but FAIL to mention that YOUR lead guy isn't prepared to lead to begin with!
Then you act flabbergasted that Palin "only" has a 68% approval rating. Umm, dopey, 68% is pretty kick-ass. Sorry, but neither your nor your son are very bright. Of COURSE McCain is doing what it takes to win. Do you think Obama is doing anything other than that? Might want to pull your head out of the sand once in a while.

24.

To # 15 All Presidents are just puppets:

In a partial sense you are correct. The President can propose a budget, but he cannot make them accept it.

Congress is the one with the power:

1) Fiscal Power

The Congress is responsible for levying and collecting taxes. This money is used to pay our country's debts and to provide for the defense and well-being of our nation. Congress controls borrowing money and coining and printing currency. They also establish standards for weights and measures and punish counterfeiters.

2) Trade Regulation

The Congress holds the power to regulate foreign and interstate trade. However, they cannot make a law, which would give an advantage in trade between two or more states.

3) Military Power

The Congress is responsible for defending our country by establishing a military force. The organization, arming, establishment of military laws - and seeing that military laws are enforced, belongs to Congress. Military power is shared with the president who is considered the Commander in Chief. However, the power to declare war is granted to the Congress.

4) Other Powers

Congress is also responsible for establishing rules for citizenship in the United States. They are required to maintain a post office, make laws for copyrights and patents, and govern the District of Columbia. The Constitution also granted the power to establish our federal court system to the Congress.

It's easy to blame everything on a President and/or his Administration. It is Congress that we should be keeping an eye on.

25. Hey you sorry demo fools, did you catch your big phoney Obama's interview with O'Reilly? “I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated,” Obama said while refusing to retract his initial opposition to the surge. “I’ve already said it’s succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.” What a fake party, fake candidate, liar turncoat. So what exactly is his stance on the war?

26. This Palin lady is straight out of the 1950's. Looks like it, talks like it, acts like it. McCain is for shooting down women's rights which were hard fought for, and picked this nut case who doesn't even believe that a woman who is raped or incest was committed against her can have the right to end the pregnancy. She has been in the deep freeze too long!
