94. Wow what a breath of fresh air! Finally we can get an ultra religious "NEO-CON" puppet in the second most powerful position in our government. The last 8 years have been so great! Forget about this wussy stuff we are doing in Iraq. We need people in the white house who make decisions based religious beliefs and install there friends throughout the justice department and supreme court. We are so lucky!!! 96. I wish that everyone would stop talking about Bristol Palin. She is not the one that we are concerned with. We need to find out more information about her mother who is running for VP. This is a private matter within her family and the media should not be involved. Sarah has raised her child with her beliefs but as we all know 17 year olds do not always follow what they were taught by the parents. I think that the media and tabloids like yourself need to stop and think about what is the important issue not what is the hottest gossip. Stop guessing about what went on and find out facts that will move this story forward. I am tried of hearing about Bristol she is not runnning for office. I what to know what Sarah Palin has to offer to help our country.

97. If body language says anything, then this teenage boy definitely did not want to be there. He was so uncomfortable. Hand-holding every time the camera was on them reminded me of Spencer and Heidi's staged antics. A blind person could see that these two children are being forced into this marriage for the sake of politics. It's hard enough trying to get 30- and 40-year old men to the altar, and they are actually tying to make us believe that this boy really wants to be married to this girl when he is in his sexual prime and there are so many other girls out there. Everyone says they're in love, but no 18-year old male knows what love is and most of them will hit on a snake!! He wants to hang out with his fellow athletes, date, and play video games; not change diapers!! This forced wedding is the worst thing a parent can do to their child -- I don't care what your beliefs are. If Bristol wasn't prepared for the consequences of having unprotected sex, how is she going to be prepared for married life?

I don't live in Alaska and never heard of Gov. Palin before now, but I do think that she should focus on her current family situation more so than being in the political spotlight. There is nothing wrong with her being a mother and a state governor; but being a VP comes with a whole other set of issues on the national/international level. Unless you are already in your second term as president or vice president, no one is qualified for that type of job. She should have started out as a Congresswoman or Senator; then, she would have an idea of what to expect. She may feel she's qualified, but Alaska and Washington are completely different. She will not dictate policy -- she will be dictated to -- just like Condi Rice was when she arrived with no experience. She may like shooting at prey from a helicopter, but in Washington, the hunter can easily become the hunted.

He is a young kid who must have the heart of a lion to get up there and support his girlfriend. It does not matter what your politics are or your religious affiliation. I doubt most adults (calling John Edwards) would dare to show their faces if their private sex lives were blasted all over the media.

I fail to see what any of this has to do with who should be leading our country. I find it so telling that the media is willing to accept gay and lesbian children, addicted children and criminal children of our politicians, but we are going to eviscerate this young woman and young man for their personal situation. Why are these other life situations accepted and supported, but this one is not????

I am not an evangelical or a Republican, but I am a strong believer in spiritual principles. There is beauty in a family living through its crisis and there is beauty in this young couple working through a very difficult situation. There is no hypocrisy in loving your child even though they have made a mistake even as a proclaimed Christian. In fact, I believe that forgiveness is one of their basic tenets.

100. Ok so I only was able to catch the very end of Palin's speech and from what I heard, she seemed ok but a little too "God-happy." Its fine to have faith but don't shove it down our throats.

I watched when the whole family came on stage to wave and look cute and all that mumbo jumbo, but I couldn't help but laugh at the preggo and her "bf." After reading the TMZ post about his Myspace blog bitching about how he doesnt want to be a father, all of this seemed so rehearsed!!!! I think since Palin is such a "God is Great" warrior, then she MADE him come to show things were happy peppy. Because the two of them holding hands every two seconds but not even looking at each other was just a little too far fetched. I am sure now he has a nice little lump sum in his bank account for what he had to go through last night.

Ugh the burdens of teen pregnancy.

I'm sure Sarah tried to do the same, but kids don't always do what you want them to. At a certain point, you CAN'T control them, now matter what they've been taught! To think otherwise is just idiocy! Sarah Palin's daughter getting pregnant at her age is not good - no one is saying it is. The fact is that the family is pro-life, so they are practicing what they preach - keeping a Down Syndrome baby, and an unplanned pregnancy instead of having an abortion, or a partial-birth abortion, which Obama supports. He also opposes health care for babies unsuccessfully aborted. Is THAT the kind of values you admire? If so, your high moral ground stance makes no sense. I don't know your daughter - don't pretend to - but I'd bet my bottom dollar she has done a LOT that you don't have a clue about, regardless of what you taught her. 105. I don’t know which is more amusing. This recent spectacle or the fact that Sarah Palin, an inexperience governor from Alaska was chosen by John McCain as the vice president nominee.

The only reason why John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his vice president is because Hilary Clinton was so widely received by the Democratic Party. Republicans are known for the crossover. This is an attempt to siphon votes from the Democratic Party, and if people don’t realize it, it may work. View a documentary titled American Blackout; it will show how the crossover was used against Cynthia McKinney.
