well thats easy sara palin would appoint someone with national security experience as her VP.
there are plenty of qualified people who would love to be in that position

154. Libs cant bring up experience cause we'll just bring up obama the community organizer. libs cant bring up scandals cause we'll just bring up tony rezko and kwame kilpatrick. libs cant bring up hate cause we'll just bring up wright and phleger. libs cant bring up terrorism cause we'll just bring up bill ayers. libs cant bring up corruption cause we'll just bring up the sleazy chicago political machine that incubated obama. libs cant bring up flip-flops cause we'll just bring up FISA. libs cant bring up judgement cause we'll just bring up the surge. No wonder libs get republican-rage. all they have is their little temper tantrums. if it wasnt for ross perot we'd be in the 28th year of republicanism and bin laden would've been taken out in the nineties after he served our purposes against the soviets and before he could do any harm to us. btw all this talk of censoring books, what about any mention of the attempted censoring of 'the path to 9/11' by the dems?

I may be a republican. But Im putting party aside when election comes. Does it matter about party when the last 8years has been nothing but hell......We need a change. And what a greater changed than Obama/Biden.

156. Only in America can you fight for your Country, get captured and put in a Viet cong prison for 5 years, tortured almost daily, have your bones broken, starved and God knows what else and then have the majority of people in your own Country spit and curse you when you get home and rather have an inexpereinced nobody that the Democratic Party have decided to make into the new Messiah as their leader.

157. to certain of you on this site-
the demeaning words you use to describe the candidates or their families tell us so much about the kind of person you are and it tells us nothing about the candidates or their families
so as you are pointing fingers and trash talking about someone you have never met- just be sure to take note of the other fingers that are pointing directly to you
anyone intelligent can get any intelligent point across without stooping
when I see a post done with ignorance, I dismiss the entire thing so that if there was a valid point somewhere in it- I will never see it.
I'm sure I am not the only one who scans through and selectively reads ones that look intelligent or informative -no matter what party they represent

161. Most of you are sitting here and dissing Palin for her "sarcastic" and "derogatory" remarks during her speech yet you all are doing the same thing to each other!? That's a little contradicting... I don't know how that makes any of you sound educated, yet you constantly want to diss the next person regardless. More than likely most of you are educated, so take a look at your own actions before you critize someone elses.
Seriously, individual opinions are important, and we should all learn to respect each others thoughts more ... we can think for ourselves for a reason and part of growing wisom is to learn from others. Grow up. More than likely we will all never full agree on one thing, but you can find some common ground without being so defensive or so degrading towards each other...
Our country is so selfish... each one of you only thinks only your opinion matters and what you want matters without any respect for the next person or what they think or feel unless it's the same as you. THAT's the reason the rest of the world laughs at us. Screw being liberal, screw being conservative screw being any ONE party... what this country needs now more than ever is a united front that can show people it doesn't matter who wins a debate, where we come from, how much money we make or dont make, what party we represent, and it doesn't matter what we've done wrong (every day is a new day for a reason)... we need to show the world AND ourselves that we can be selfless, that we can care and appreciate others and their opinions, that we can work together and that we can overcome all obsticles and that's what makes us a power supreme in this world.
I'm a republican, but does it matter all that much? I may have different beliefs from the person's comment above and below me and I may vote for "the other guy", but at least I can read what they have to say, and respond yeah I agree... or no I disagree with my rebuttal or own formed opinion on the matter without calling them uneducated or names. I think more of people need to practice this, or at least learn some manners and learn how to truly repsect others.

162. The United States is the laughing stock of this world. Eventually the day will come that we won't be the most powerful. What Americans need to recognize is that while we are citizens of this country, we are also citizens of the world. International opinion should matter, but for many in this country it does not. I'm a very moderate liberal. I see the point that both sides are trying to make. The one thing I can't stand most about the conservative right is the the hypocrisy. Michelle Obama is a "baby mama" and Bristol Palin is a saint? Jamie Lynn Spears is a slut and Bristol Palin is a wonderful role model for young girls that find themselves in the same predicament? Many have said the definition of conservative is less government. Well if conservatives want less government then why are the main platforms of Republicans about government sanctions on peoples private lives? Why are Republicans more in support of a 10 billion dollar a month war then for programs to help the poor or those teenage mothers that social conservatives so strongly feel should have their babies???? The whole thing is just hypocritical. And suddenly John McCain's platform is the same as Obama's??? Really I used to love John McCain, but I don't think there should be any character attacks in this election. John McCain left his disabled wife. No one's perfect, even the most moral among us.
