It's not the government's fault that you don't have basic cable. It's NOT the government's responsibility to ensure that you have a house, a good job, a car, etc. It's YOUR job to do that. The government is not here to give you a handout - that's not what our constitution states. If that's what you think should happen, then you don't belong here. Were you a child in the 80's when Reagon was president? Seems your parents had a house then, correct? Hmmmmm, I'm guessing they earned that house.

62. Did anyone see Cindy's speech? Did she not seem a bit odd, as in out of it? Curious her two sons escorted her out holding onto her arm on each side and everytime she closed her eyes during the speech I wondered if they would reopen. I know she suffered a stroke, but that was not her normal speech pattern or appearance as I just saw her give an interview with Katie Couric the day before and she was totally articulate and put-together. Just wondering?

63. soft_whisperss, tell me where exactly does it say in the Book of Revelation that the Anti-Christ will be of Muslim descent and a man in his 40s? If Jesus Christ was a Jew (and, I don't think any Christians, Jews or Muslims dispute this), and if the Anti-Christ is going to fool people into believing that he is the Jesus Christ, would he not tell people that he is Jewish?
I think you have been misinformed.

64. I wish the media would stop reducing the presidential election to who you want to have a bear with? How about the smartest guy in the room! We should all want the smartest guy in the room! But most people today want bumper sticker politics and the media plays in to that mentality. Morons

67. Look how dumb the libs looked when they tried to disrupt the McCain Speech. Why is it that you morons do not want any alternative views from your own. Just shout the opposition down with stupidity and venom. When are you going to see that the only candidate that has reached across the partisan bs and try to get something accomplished is McCain. Mr. Mussolini, I mean Obama, will not reveal himself because too many people would see that he is nothing more than a charlatan poser. He should just write more memoirs and have his Black Panther Parties at his terrorist friends house and not the Whitehouse.

68. I think we should vote for McCain just to see what kind of shananagans he and Palin will get themselves into. Just wait...you'll see. Palin is hot. Those late nights in the White House will lead to another Monica Luinski scandal.

Want teens to practice safe sex? Sarah says no. Want the choice top end your pregnancy after you are raped? Sarah says no. Go ahead and vote for Sarah women... you will be surprised how quickly her government decides how you can live...

Her family is a perfect example that teaching abstience in school really works to prevent teen-age pregency! Guess they don't practice what they preach in that household.

75. Why doesn't anyone looking for socialism simply research what happened in Cuba.
When a young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the "old" system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in. When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said, "Praise the Lord!" And when the young leader said, "I will be for change and I'll bring you change, everyone yelled, "Viva Fidel!"
No one asked about the change, so by the time the executioner's guns were silent, the people's guns had been taken away. By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed. By the time everyone received their free education, it was worth nothing. By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him. By the time change was finally implemented, Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to third-world status. By the time the change was over, more than a million people had taken boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate cubans.
Luckily, we would never fall in America for a young leader who promised change without asking, "What change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America?
Would We?
This was a letter to the editor of the Richmond, Texas, Times-Dispatcher newspaper. What an eye-opener.
