She's Not Just Like US

Sarah PalinSo this is interesting. US Weekly is losing subscribers because of its Sarah Palin cover story: "Babies, Lies and Scandals."

There were reports that as many as 10,000 subscribers bailed, but US told Page Six the number was closer to 1,000. Apparently the mag -- and to be fair just about everyone else in the media -- misjudged Palin's impact once she opened her mouth.

We put some polls up yesterday. With 200,000 votes, 51% called Palin the biggest star of the convention. Obama came in second with 45%. McCain got 3% and Biden 1%.

We also asked who you'd most like to have a beer with -- 43% Palin, 28% Obama, 16% McCain and 13% Biden.

US Weekly next week -- "Biden: Old Men, Lies and Scandals."

66. Obama isn't even present for the majority of the votes at the senate and that is probably why the democratic run senate never gets anything done. Thats a fact...look it up.

I'm sure I will have no problem going where ever I want, unlike you. So take your hate mongering and shove it. 68. All the comments in support of Palin are the reasonour country is in the shape we are today. The same idiots that voted Bush in will vote another idiot in, even tho we are living in the ruins of the Bush administration. Palin is a joke, just like the man in the White House now. Yeah sure she will clean up the country, if you think our country is such a mess and your voting for Palin and McCain obviously your cadidate that you voted in the for the last 8 yrs isnt doing the job you voted him in to do, but go ahead vote on those same instincts....look where its gotten us . Dont reply back and blame the Congress either, because for the first time the republicans have had full run of the country, with the majority of Congress being republican and we are turning into a third world country. Go ahead and support Palin on her looks, which by the way she looks like Peggy Hill from King of the Hill. This candidate needs to clean up her own house first.

SarahFan you amuse me. I'm a middle class white woman and can't STAND Palin and everything that I've read about her and her book banning ways. I think it's insulting and bigoted that people can't open their eyes to the damage that Bush has already done to this country and want to support more of the same. She might be tagged with the "reformer" title but she's got NO IDEA what DC is like - she will get walked over inside the beltway and make what happened to Hillary and healthcare reform look like a success. People think that she reformed Alaska but she's under an investigation for ethics violations - do we REALLY need MORE of that in Washington?

70. Yeah, I don't read US Weekly anyways whether its a conservative mag or liberal. Obama has been trashed over and over again by this Palin lady right out the gate. You know why? Because she and her campaign can only scare you into voting Republican. Been doing it the last eight years and hell, maybe another eight the way idiots can't see that this woman is bad news. Can't do another eight years of the same policies while unemployment is at it's highest in five years and americans are losing their pensions. But watch the way middle america sympathizes with "hockey mom" and end up paying the price for it again and again. I remeber this episode of the Simpsons when they were digging for treasure and couldn't find any. They were stuck and this big hole and somebody said how do we get out and Homer says " I know! We'll dig our way out" And they keep digging. Sounds dumb as hell, huh?

71. I find it odd no one is talking about her being pregant before she got married but made a big issue of her daugter.
Palin eloped with her husband and had a child 8 months later - do the math. Bristol is only following in her mother's footsteps.

73. Negative press for Palin only takes more votes away from Obama. Obama is a lame duck, and this woman has demonstrated she can get things done. Her family issues hit home with constituents more than Obama's.

74. For the record, I supported the democratic party until it turned on itself and threw Hillary under the bus. That is the reason we lost the last two elections is because the democratic party turned on each other and you can't get anything done when that happens. At least the republicans have some direction and support each other. And you can't blame everything in the world in Bush. Go Sarah
