Tom Brady Badly Injured in Season Opener

Tom Brady was just helped off the field by two Patriots personnel members after injuring his left knee. Paging Nurse Bundchen!

Kansas City Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard laid Tom out during the first quarter of their first regular season game -- and Brady is currently getting x-rays on his left knee. Brady's right foot was the injury that kept him out of all of their preseason games.

Backup quarterback Matt Cassel has taken his place on the field -- no word on whether Matt's dating Gisele yet.

As you can see in the photo -- legs aren't supposed to bend that way.

UPDATE: Even without their golden boy -- the Patriots won 17-10.

UPDATE 2: WEEI in Boston is reporting Brady suffered a torn ACL. If that's true, his season would be over.

52. I don't like him, but I don't wish an injury on him. Injuries are never fun. However, the other teams will now have a chance to shine. I do have to say this, though- I do not think Bridget Moynahan wishes him injury either, regardless of how she feels about him. This is her son's dad, and for her son's sake, and because she doesn't seem like a mean person, I don't think she wishes injury on him or is happy that he was injured.

I think that Matt Cassel is a normal person who has no interest in becoming a celebrity (unlike Brady), so I don't think you'll see him dating any celebrities. I think he will make the right life choices that will enable him to have a normal, paparazzi-free life.

54. I'm not exactly a Pats fan but I do finds it interesting that Cassel (sp) is getting the job from Brady the same way Brady got it from Bledsoe. I hope Brady heals but I won't be too upset if Cassel can deliver.

I took the day off from cooking today but I'm thinking steak tips for tomorrow. I make my own variant of Worcester sauce because my husband is allergic to peppers so no salsa for us but guacamole is still good. I haven't made lasagna for years because it's just too much work unless you're feeding a crowd. After all, first you have to make the tomato sauce and let it sit overnight to blend, then you have to boil the pasta, layer it all in the pan and cook it for an hour. I'll make a chicken pie, corn bread and a pound cake instead.

Bertucci's makes a very good lasagna rustica if you have one in your area.

55. Gotta agree with purple. Ido not like Hollywood TomBrady and hollywood Tony Romo who has not proven himself yet.
I think most here are saying Karma because of how he took up with Giselle when he had been with Bridget Monhiyhan for a long time. Bridget was a class at in that she never went to press about him or made a media case out of their situation. The media did tosome degree, but Tom and Brdiget wr emost;ly quiet and worked it out, the legal stuff, behind closed doors.
You know, don't air out your dirty laundry.

Tom being out takes away from thegame because he is a good QB nad al lteams want to say they beat him.

Hmmmm, I have to be catty ,well ,Giselle, he is all yours. A proball player laid up for the season before the season even started good, 1 st game, will not be a happy man every day. He is , has to be down a little. Depressed. Out of sorts.
I will say that Giselle has not been a spectacle lie Jessica Simpson Romo talking all of the time .
