Tom Brady Badly Injured in Season Opener

Tom Brady was just helped off the field by two Patriots personnel members after injuring his left knee. Paging Nurse Bundchen!

Kansas City Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard laid Tom out during the first quarter of their first regular season game -- and Brady is currently getting x-rays on his left knee. Brady's right foot was the injury that kept him out of all of their preseason games.

Backup quarterback Matt Cassel has taken his place on the field -- no word on whether Matt's dating Gisele yet.

As you can see in the photo -- legs aren't supposed to bend that way.

UPDATE: Even without their golden boy -- the Patriots won 17-10.

UPDATE 2: WEEI in Boston is reporting Brady suffered a torn ACL. If that's true, his season would be over.

64. I am soooooooooo happy , my lasagna was great success! thankyou to all with input!! hahhaha...btw...a lasagna sauce doesn't have to simmer all day or chill all nite....unlike a suga tht needs to simmer all day with sausages and meatballs....but the referral to Burtucci's frozen one is a back-up in case of emergency..all though I don't think it will fly in my house!! thanks anyways! heehee

65. Those of you who are saying that Brady is a lousy quarterback obviously have never watched a game or read a sports page in your lives. Nor do you show even an inkling of knowledge about statistics. I don't really care how things went down between Brady, his baby momma and his girlfriend, that's their business and none of mine. But please, before spouting off about a sport, try to learn something about it.

66. I am !, I don't know if Bertucci's makes a frozen one. I couldn't serve it here anyway because of my husband's allergies. I just like to go the restaurant. They also make an incredible berry martini. And they have this lemon mousse with fresh strawberries that is to die for.
I make my spaghetti sauce with ground beef, lots of garlic and herbs. If I can't let it sit you can't really taste them. I also don't like to add tomato paste so it has to simmer longer for the right consistency. I find that tomato paste is a little too sweet.

68. If Matt Cassel has success, all it will do is make Tom look more like a system QB. Rumour is this is why the Pats can keep him for so cheap, he cannont play in any other system.

69. Of course you only use olive oil. I prefer Bertoli's extra virgin myself. Do you do much with marinades? I find a Greek marinade is very for chicken. Although anything will do if it has enough garlic. No vampires in my household. Very disappointing to my daughter of course who wants someone tall, dark, handsome, brooding undead to come and sweep her off her feet. Myself, I enjoy the light of day too much to agree with her. Though I agree with her on the tall, dark and handsome.

72. his injury will hurt the pats big time. they are a whole differnent team without brady. not to mention the fact that matt cassel is horrible. ol' belichick ought to think about making an offer to recently retired duante cullpepper. i think the reason why cullpepper retired was because no teams were interested in him. the pats are getting old now and will be prone to injuries. the pats wiil be lucky if they win there division without brady. i wish errand boy the best in his recovery.
