Woods Hoses Orlando

Tiger Woods is a hog.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, 129,000 gallons of water goes down the drain on Tiger's Florida estate every month. Average water usage is 10,000 gallons a month.

The home is in south Orange County -- and several of his fellow Floridians also spurt like mothas. NBA star Grant Hill used 263,000 gallons in May. The Magic's Dwight Howard's estate soaked up 189,000 gallons in July alone.

According to records, Woods is near the top of the 25 biggest guzzlers in Orange County, Florida. Number 25 on the list averages 84,000 gallons a month.

Note to Tiger -- Central Florida is in a water crisis.

17. All wrong. The Orlando paper is talking about homes in Orlando. Tiger's home on Jupiter Island is under construction. Jupiter Island is in Martin County. Palm Beach remains the wealthiest town in the USA. As long as most of the water is used over ground, the mitigation of seepage restores the ailing aquifer.

19. Uh, TMZ, get your geography straight. Windermere, where Tiger lives, is in Orange County. Jupiter Island is approx. 150 miles southeast of Tiger's house.

20. I must agree... there's a few million people in the world who didn't have the privilege of being born into our wealthy culture (starting with those who don't even have fresh water to drink, let alone to manicure their "look at me" estates in which they don't even live most of the time).

They should donate all their extra millions to a WORTHY cause, and leave alone as much of the earth as possible (which I think is why it was created in the 1st place -- not to glorify our egos)!

Just how much room and stuff does one person (or family) actually need, anyway?

The term we use in our community is Wealth-itis...

Give it away, man!

21. If anyone can convince Tiger to run for President, what do you think would happen?
think about it.
I know I'd vote for him. I bet he'd never allow his campaign to trash a working woman who had the nerve to HAVE (5 children. ....(oh horrors, alert the media)
MSM has become a dinosaur. I get the news from the web. Not US weekely or People or cable.

22. Who cares what county it is, get over your google seld guys. Talk about the story, does it ask geography questions for 1000 points, NO so shut your pie hole. If "Tiger" is that irresponsible and wasteful with water than what else is he wasting at his humble abodes???? That's the real issue. Have you ever heard of droughts, water shortages??? That's a serious issue wherever you live and "Tiger" should be shipping that to people that really need it, like his peeps in Africa or something that don't even have water... Think bigger picture, "Tiger" plays golf people, he's treated better than people that actually make a difference!!!!!

23.

Tiger no longer makes Islesworth in SW Orlando his principle home. He owns an extensive property on Jupiter Island, which is in Martin County, pixie, not Palm Beach, which is 15 miles south. Tiger bought the barrier island property 2 years ago, tearing down a 10,000 square foot home to build an even bigger new one. Talk about wasteful!! The extensive property fronts on the Ocean, backs on the Indian River [intercoastal]

The Town of Jupiter Island wouldn't care one way or another if Tiger left, trust me. It's overflowing with million and billionaires. There are no commercial businesses on the island other than a private country club/golf club which is too tame for the Tiger. If he sold his new property, someone else would just buy it. There's no recession for the ultra rich. Oh... and in case anyone is interested, he owns a mega yacht too.

How do I know all this? I work on Jupiter Island, but used to work in SW Orlando. I'm in the golf business. yes, I've met Tiger several times. He's a nice guy, actually, but very wary. He's no dummy either.

27. There is no water shortage in Florida so I don't see the problem. In fact at the moment they have too much water.

28. Glad he was put on blast. Every little bit helps, but big guzzlers cutting waaaaay back helps even more.

29. Who really gives a f? Tiger Woods is probably the besrt role model ever. Plus, his wife Elin, is hotter than any of the girls on TMZ, with the exception of Chyna of course.

30. This is sickening considering that if we don't smarten up we will run out of water one day! Does he not care about his little girls future?
