Lets Get This Party Started
Brit in Snit with Mama Over Book

So as we told you yesterday, all that dish you've heard is in the Lynne Spears book about sex and drugs –- ain't really there.

But Britney is still PO'd about the book because it blames everything on Brit's ex-managers, says the New York Post and makes Lynne look like a saint. The paper says she's only talking to her daddy Jamie, who's got her on an even keel, as everyone could see last night at the VMAs.

Spears' rep says the report is "false."

MSNBC Loudmouths Dropped from Anchor Chair

After all the sniping and slap-fighting, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews are out as politics anchors for election season. They'll be replaced by David Gregory.

The big move comes after Matthews and Olbermann have been accused of pushing a left-wing agenda too hard and have throttled each other on-air -- like when Olbermann made a mouth-flapping gesture with his hand during a Matthews rant at the DNC. It's totally embarrassing the network, say multiple sources.

Heather Mills – "Biggest Bitch on the Planet"

Not that we didn't know this already, but someone thinks Heather Mills is a kinda terrible person.

Mills' ex-rep Michele Elyzabeth tells a London tab the one-legged wonder "not only misled me, she misled the entire world." Unclear what the subterfuge might've been, but it seems to involve "false stories about Paul McCartney" and bugging Sir Paul's phone calls.

This is good stuff: Elyzabeth says Mills wore latex gloves while playing a cribbed message so there couldn't be any trace.

31. Does anyone have a link to a video where i could see Oberman and Matthews going at each other? Or a reel about what they've done? I don't watch msnbc but i'm curious.

32. But of course the relentless biased spew from Hannity and O'Reilly is ...um. . . real American... yeah, that's it. . .

33. Olbermann is why I and everyone I know watches MSNBC. He does not have a left-wing agenda, he has a TRUTH agenda, which unfortunately doesn't square with the whiny Republicans who claim the media is biased against them, while at the same time there is an entire network with a RIGHT-WING agenda called Fox News. Fox News could not make the same "correction" MSNBC is making towards being impartial, unless they shut down the whole network, which is a 24/7 broadcasting arm of the Bush Administration and the Republican Party. MSNBC has had many scuffles with Olbermann over his outspokenness, but in the end they are very happy and proud to have him as their answer to Bill O'Reilly. They are simply doing the right thing by keeping election coverage separate from his opinion show Countdown.
People wake up - Fox News is The Evil Propaganda Network. And is all opinion, NOT news.

34. KEITH OLBERMANN IS A 21ST CENTURY PROGRESSIVE WHO ISN'T AFRAID TO CHALLENGE THE PROPAGANDIST FOX NOISE AND BILL O"REILLEY. CANDY- ASS MSNBC CAN'T DEAL WITH THE CHALLENGE SO THEY WILL FALL BACK INTO THEIR RUT OF NO AUDIENCE AND NOTHING OF ANY SIGNIFIGANCE TO SAY. DAVID GREGORY IS A RIGHT WINGER WHO KISSES REPUBLICAN ASS AND WHOSE EGO ALWAYS COMES FIRST. TOO BAD MSNBC HAD A CHANCE TO ELEVATE THEIR RATINGS AND THEIR STATUS IN THE "NEWS AND POLITICAL" BROADCAST ARENA, AND TRUE TO FORM, THEY BLEW IT. KEITH OLBERMANN IS THE VOICE OF THE FUTURE AND I'M SURE MSNBC WILL SOON BE EATING HIS DUST.

35. hi explainer--no, you didn't complain because he did turn the economy around (that Reagan and Bush the First royally screwed up with their Trickle Down economics, the same thing McCain wants to do) and we had a surplus under the Clinton administration. Instead, he was impeached. Um, and Bush hasn't been? How many laws has that man broken, anyway? He LIED to us to get into Iraq, plain and simple. He had a grudge because Saddam Hussein tried to assassinate his daddy, you remember him, right? The one that helped GWB protect the great state of Texas from the VC, while my husband was actually in Vietnam fighting to stay alive?

Still say no one was acting like grade-schoolers? Gimme a break. The ONLY reason Bush hasn't been impeached is the thought of Cheney or Condie Rice taking over.

36. TMZ, could you PLEASE stop doing politics. Listening to the fools on both sides is bad for my blood pressure. Not that everyone who discusses politics here is a fool but far too many make their arguments by personal attacks on the candidates. I'm voting for Obama in the fall but McCain is still a good man, I just don't agree with his politics.

So Heather Mills is a lying b*tch. Was there anyone who didn't already know that?

Go Sox

37. Is this a Republican website? You would think so from the cry-baby comments. After 8 years of the Worst President Ever, you would think people would be ready to hear dialogue not written by the White House. This country has drifted so far to the right that liberal and even moderate comments are considered "ultra right-wing." When right-wing fundamentalist S. Palin is considered the hottest thing since sliced bread (as were Spiro Agnew and Dan Quayle back in their time), we are surely in trouble!
Hey Beatles fan that likes John but doesn't like how he treats Yoko. I hate to break it to you, but John has been dead for going on thirty years.
As for the rest of you, just turn your TV to Fox, get the news you deserve, continue supporting the party that will always treat the rich better than you, and quit yer bitchin'! Please don't even think of watching the Daily Show or Stephen Colbert, it will be too far over your heads.

38. Oberman and Matthews are both disgusting but Keith Oberman is the worst. He alone has caused advertisers who pay to put him on TV to lose business. I've talked to so many people in California where the left leans left, and they find his show to be a bore. His attacks on O'Reilly have caused all of us to wonder what the hell he's doing there and why he has a show at all. It's too bad. I'll never watch NBC again and MSNBC keeps letting the good guys who are the best they have, go. Their shows expire or get dropped to keep Oberman and Matthews. Well ok .... you lose money and business and viewers. You did really great MSNBC .. now even the left can't put up with you

39. Oops! In my comments, where I said "This country has drifted so far to the right that liberal and even moderate comments are considered "ultra right-wing", I meant "ultra-left wing". But you could tell that from the context right? No? Sorry, you've probably been listening to too much Fox! Ha ha.

PLEASE!!! That so-called "news" network has been a total f*cking embarrassment since its debut!!! They don't need Olberman and Matthews. Until a couple of years ago, they were #3. Then CNN-HLN kicked their ass, and their ranking dropped down to...#4!!! (AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!)

Why is Olberman there doing political commentary, anyway??????? HE'S A SPORTS GUY!!!! HE HAS NO BUSINESS TALKING ABOUT ANYTHING POLITICAL!!! They should've just canned that fraud and kept Matthews around!!! At least he knows what he's talking about!!!

41. How about firing FoxNews completely?

Posted at 3:12PM on Sep 8th 2008 by LosCabos

42. Reine, you would be talking about Tucker Carlson, right? Rachel Maddow, who's show premiers tonight, actually auditioned to be his "sidekick". Even Tucker was fed up with the Bush administration.

Olbermann has the chops to do Politics as well as sports. His show didn't start out as politics, it's a news program. I've been watching him since his days here on Los Angeles news.

Guess that means that not all in CA hate Olbermann.

43. Is that bitch still alive, oh well to bad !!!

Posted at 4:35PM on Sep 8th 2008 by OldBlackMan

44. Ok i finally saw the videos. I don't get it. No freedom of speech whatsoever. These guys speak their minds and get fired. In other words, the rest of the achors are a bunch of asskissers, or there's no other explanation why they still have a job on TV.

I understand there should be objectivity at some point, but Olberman is NOT a politics anchor. Countdown is about all issues no just politics. And what about other anchors (Hannity, O'Reilly, even GLEN BECK though he denies it!) who are so OPEN in who they support?? I don't get this!
