54. She was not lip-synching! I thought she looked fabulous! She did great, though you could tell she was nervous. However, I was very disappointed that she didn't perform...but I was disapointed in the VMAs, period. They don't showcase any type of variety in music. They focus on pop, hip-hop and rap...not alternative, metal, etc. They did performances between commercial breaks or whatever. I think Britney and Kayne were the highlights this year. MTV really needs to revamp the VMAs, and stop using the possibility of Britney Spears showing up as a way to lure in viewers, because that's not going to sustain the show for much longer either.
