31. They urge people to evacuate for Hurricanes for a reason. There is nothing grand about standing in the middle of one attempting to sensationalize for a segment and pretend like you are doing something for society.

32. hahaha @ Geraldo being a Democrat! Not quite, honey.. Did you miss the Fox News icon down in the corner there?? We all know what that means. Reguardless, this has nothing to do with party affiliation and is just humorous, so lighten up with the Republinazi comments there, Evil.

33.
thankfully for geraldo, the state of
texas no longer offers electrocution
has capital punishment on their menu;

lucky for the rest of us, it would've start a
grease fire far worse than any hurricane.........

34. That was the funniest sh@! I've seen all day. If he can take a chair to the faaaaaaace (say it like Nacho Libre) then he can handle the sea!! WORD Geraldo WORD!

35. Too bad a chair didn't come flying in from Ike & smash Jerk-aldo in the face.

36. To Chucky and Lixkirby,

Fox News Hires him BECAUSE he is a DEMOCRAT. but you wouldn't know that because you are among the many ignorant Dems that never watch that station and only feed your mind with the Clinton News Network and MSLSD. Fox hires both views, Republican and Democrats you moron idiots. But do I annoy You? Reminds me of the saying, "You can't teach a pig to sing, you just waste your time and you annoy the pig." Oink, Oink

37. Serves him right, what a douche ! Rivera and all the other "reporters" who do these stupid unecessary live shots in the middle of storms should all just get a life. All they care about is looking tough & cool as they play the part of a Action-Jackson hard-core Rambo journo on the scene ready for anything. Well guess what, the papmpered trench-coated news readers aren't ready for anything. They can be injured just like anybody else, and when they go down, EMS, police & fire have to rescue them. That takes time away from other situations that they should/could be responding to. And lets not forget that the celeb news reader is not alone on the scene. People (underpaid, most free-lance with no benefits) are behind the camera and in the truck. Sadly, one of these days somebody is going to loose their life doing a stupid live shot in an unsafe area. But, hey, safety doesn't count and now Geraldo has another notch on his belt and he can add this to his reel.

40. I've been watching Fox news coverage of Ike all evening. Geraldo has been entertaining me. I don't see a public service here, its all about GERALDO.

41. Hey! Love ya Geraldo, keep up the good work. Those forces of mother nature are often more brutal than anyone realizes. Can't understand it unless you've been there.... Tornadoes we have in Kansas are sneaky too. Love to see a real veteran reporter out scoping things as opposed to the trendy no-name faces most networks are throwing on the air these days..........

42. wow. that mic was still working after all that!!

43. I hate newspeople who go to a hurricane when everyone is supposed to be inside or evacuated. It's as if to say, "Don't be as stupid as me" - and that includes this washed out egomaniac.

44. If he had been hurt, the firemen out there catching him would have had to spend time, energy, and dollars to rescue him instead of serving the people of Galveston. I really, really think it should be ILLEGAL for reporters to enter a disaster area within, say, 100 miles or so. First responders, rush in! Reporters, rush in?!? I do NOT need to see a reporter get hurt in order to know that a hurricane is imminent or a news story. Perhaps I can get involved in legislation to prohibit the use of public safety officials from saving the gddonam reporters who are standing on the ocean's edge getting swiped by 10 foot waves!

45. Now you all know, Geraldo's goign to be sore tomorrow. I think that was one hurricane he wasn't ready for. Very hilarious btw. DId anyone see the segment, after his spill. Where he was like [sic] "You ahve to be careful for there are lots of peices of flotsoam and jetsom, in teh water". I thought I was going to crack up like crazy. It really is like something that should be put in a journo-culture-time line., like the sensational covering hurricane by standing out in it phase. Started raound mid 90's ended with the famous Geraldo fallng on his bum controvresery from 2008 Hurricane Ike.
