He looks amazing for 81yrs. A true icon and a gentlemen. I'm tearing up I love this man so much. How I would love to see him in a film with Denzel and/or Don Cheadle.

Love, love, love Sidney Poitier....a great soul, a great man, a handsome man, and an authentic and impeccable gentleman! Read his autobiography, "The Measure of a Man". Hopefully, he will grace California and the Planet with his presence for many, many years to come!
See his (1963) Academy Award for Best Actor film - Lilies of the Field; also, The Defiant Ones, A Patch of Blue, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, and To Sir, With Love.

The reason he is standing in the middle of traffic is because he doesn't want to be around the paparazzi, he's been surrounded by it all his life and apparently he's over it -I don't blame him! Not every celebrity appreciates the spotlight.

That's class!!!! the camera man just told him what he could do with his camera by telling him of West's actions, and Mr. Poitier chooses to walk away, hahahaha, that's class!!!
And I doubt he knows who the hell Kanye West is.
The guy is to not be messed with, he's led a quiet, elegant life.
