What incredible talent. I loved all of his movies. All time favorite was "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner". Legendary.

and what will Jay be known for 20 years from now??? Not a damn thing. Sidney Poitier is still the same man, and recently he has won an award for lifetime achievement as a breakthrough actor for his past roles, and wrote a book.. If you don't have anything worthwhile to post, just don't post!

Sidney Potier was a wonderful actor..I don't think I missed any of his movies..so handsome..always respected him as an actor....HOWEVER, he turned into an angry old black man that choosed to try and stir up trouble between the whites and blacks..like Whoppi, doesn't believe things have changed for the blacks. give me a break..I'll bet if the blacks wanted to better themselves, go to school, get a college education, they wouldn't have to take out student loans with high rates of interest and pay back like my white kids..

He is making a statement standing in the middle of the street...I'm black, I'm entitled, go ahead, "make my day" and arrest me..

Perhaps he's making another movie. Mr. Poitier may God bless you for all that you have done for everyone.
