MTV's Real World Deforestation Challenge

Contrary to the goals of the MTV's current Green Crusade, the most recent MTV "Real World/Road Rules" challenge -- which premiered last week -- seems to pit competing teams against each other in an effort to wreak the most havoc on Panamanian rainforests.

The devastation left behind once the shoot wrapped was described in a recent article from the Tree Climber's Coalition. They say MTV left the formerly pristine area riddled with trash, unstruck sets, and even discarded scripts for the so-called "reality" series.

Apparently when MTV execs see green, they're not looking at the environment.

Calls to MTV were not immediately returned.

The world owes you no apologies for your station in life (and don't come back with indignance saying that you neither need nor want one; you obviously do or you would not have written that statement). Oh no, some one said something that might be deemed offensive. Whatever shall I do? People on this site (and others) call people fat, gay, stupid, loose, unqualified, ugly, mannish, femme and all things in between. If we looked really hard, we could all find a way to be offended. But some of us are OK with ourselves and not consumed with the opinions of strangers. Try to relax and see words for what they are - words (ever heard of "Sticks and stones?"). You don't know me. My thoughts, opinions, etc. should have no affect on you. This is TMZ, where non-insightful thoughts abound. Relax and try not to take yourself so seriously. And if I offended you, you're welcome. It was just a typical 'Elitist Liberal' response----all name calling w/ no substance. A response we have been seeing/hearing alot lately - it's OK, it caused by Fear. I'm thinking that if Rob & I Did 'HOOK UP' (my, my, that expression is So literate of you!) & we had children that went to the Special Olympics, we'd be very proud! Of course, it I doubt you would ever enjoy that kind of privelege, as it's likely that if you found out during your pregnancy that you could be carrying a Potential Special Olympic Athlete, your choice might be to grind the baby up and flush it down the toilet.
