A-Rod's Divorce -- It's Ovah!!!

Unlike Linda and Hulk Hogan, Alex and Cynthia Rodriguez have come to a speedy settlement in their divorce battle. No details of the settlement were released, except to say it was a "private negotiation," A-Rod's lawyer told the Daily News.

Among the couple's assets that were up for grabs, Cynthia wanted the couple's $12 million estate in Coral Cables, Fla.

Another big point of contention was the couple's pre-nup -- A-Rod planned to hold her to it, but Cynthia was expected to challenge it. She was also seeking primary custody of the couple's two girls, Ella and Natasha, as well as child support to "maintain the existing lifestyle of the children."

21. 240K a year isn't much??? DAMN, being a single mom myself it would take me 8 years to make that. And I can assure you that if I was making 240K I WOULD be living the "high life".

But I'm still glad she got it! Cheating sucks, being in the public eye and cheating REALLY sucks!

22. Where did the $20,000/month number come from? Terms of the agreement have not been released.

Good for them doing what is best for their children and that is keeping it private and remaining civil. Cynthia was even at Yankee Stadium this week taking in a game. Just because you are no longer married doesn't mean you can't be partners in parenting children. Nice to see them doing that.

23. This is why you get a prenup when you're rich. Also, if you think A-Rod didn't have an air tight prenup you're wrong. He just threw in some extra cash to end the thing before the papers got a story. Name anyone that makes nearly 30 million/year and is getting away with only 240K in child support? If you made 1 million/year you'd pay that same amount. Heather Mills got a fortune for a few years of her life! A-Rod needs to give Scott Boras a big raise because he knows how to write a contract whether you like him or not!

25. 20K a month isn't all she is going to end up with. That is just child support. There will be a property settlement, front loaded, rehabilitative, and perpetual alimony, insurance for the kids, tuition for the kids, etc, etc, etc........

27. First of all, I think it is totally disgusting how much money this man makes. Not just in his baseball contract but his endorsements also. He isn't even worth it. No player is. He gets hurt and then what? You are stuck paying this man millions to sit in the bench. And secondly. I totally agree with Mike Hunt. There should be a set amount of child support regardless of how much money the person makes. And to maintain the lifestyle? Come on....she didn't have money all of her life, she can do without it again. And there are so many people out there living week to week, she has no right trying to get 20,000 a month. Ugh..people make me sick.
