A-Rod's Divorce -- It's Ovah!!!

Alex RodriguezIt's over already?

Unlike Linda and Hulk Hogan, Alex and Cynthia Rodriguez have come to a speedy settlement in their divorce battle. No details of the settlement were released, except to say it was a "private negotiation," A-Rod's lawyer told the Daily News.

Among the couple's assets that were up for grabs, Cynthia wanted the couple's $12 million estate in Coral Cables, Fla.

Another big point of contention was the couple's pre-nup -- A-Rod planned to hold her to it, but Cynthia was expected to challenge it. She was also seeking primary custody of the couple's two girls, Ella and Natasha, as well as child support to "maintain the existing lifestyle of the children."

31. All of you MEN need to pipe down! Behind every successful man is a woman who pushed to help him get there. I am sick of the men acting like the money they made is theirs and theirs alone! A-Rod is not worth the multi-millions he is getting, but if he is getting them, then his wife deserves half. She was his wife, mother to his children, moved and traveled to accommodate his career while putting her own life on hold. HE is the one who cheated and HE is the one who caused the divorce, therefore HE should pay!

32. A-Rods family lives a lifestyle that people on this comment section will never understand. Private school (eventually) , private jets, security, and thats just a few things that I know he wants for them too! So before you all get so quick to judge his ex-wife think about it. Lastly it sounds like pure jealousy and resentment that these ball players marry these women. Ever try dating these guys let alone marrying one. Well good luck!! Its very competitive and really fun when they do WHATEVER they want as well as WHOEVER they want. $o therefore I dont $ee you point all you haters! Ciao

33. ~If it happens once, its their fault, if it happens twice, its yours~

Cynthia should have divorced him sooner. I love A-Rod, but he shouldn't have cheated, and she shouldn't have stayed around for it to happen more than once. And as for the money, i don't think she deserves that much.

34. Who said she is getting $20K a month? I never read anything that said she was going to get $20K a month or that house. We need to stop jumping to conclusions that are not based on anything. I guess we will all see when they go to court to finalize everything.

35. I have to add that Cynthia did not go through with challenging the prenup b/c she knew that she would lose and would end up not only paying her own lawyers fees but AROD's all well. AROD and Cynthia would have been divorced sooner if her lawyers were not denying the validity of the prenup. AROD has/had a comprehensive prenup which incldues a section on child support etc. (look at his counter-petition) I think when everything is actually revealed, Cynthia will not be getting the money etc. that some people think she will get. No one stopped Cynthia from working during her marriage. There are pro-athlete wives that do work. She decided that she would not work anymore and get rich despite the fact that she signed a prenup. I think the only thing that the couple was actually negoiating was the time-sharing schedule for the children. That probably took up some time. AROD does not seem like the type of man that would stray too far away from the specific guidelines of his prenup. I agree with the person that says Scott Boras knows how to write a contract. I think AROD must have had a good prenup for Cynthia to want to try to invalidate it. If you also look at AROD's counterpetition it says that basically both parents should share in the wealth, health etc of the children. Notice wealth is the first thing mentioned. That is code for you need to get a job to help take care of these kids b/c I am not footing the bill alone. You want a divorce so please do start taking responsibility for taking care of yourself and a shared monetary responsibility for taking care of the children. He had no legal reason to really compromise on the prenup. The judge would have validated it in court and Cynthia would have ended up like that crazy New York youtube lady that challenged her prenup and lost. She claimed her husband did her bad too.
