Nightclub Thief Forgets the Till is Taped

Note to Villa employees -- if you try stealing the club blind, you'll be able to relive your crime ... on DVD.

Seems someone stole $3,700 from the office last Friday, and cops think they know the ID of the culprit -- Jason Martinez, an employee of the Hollywood hot spot.

Law enforcement tells us there's a security tape that shows the whole thing. Martinez allegedly went into the office, stole the cash and then ransacked the joint to make it look like a break-in.

He was busted Friday on felony theft and is being held on $20K bail.

4. Being an employee of Villa I can tell you there are NO cameras inside our bar. He was not videotaped except by a neighboring camera which showed him leaving with nothing. Rumor has it another party was at fault.

5. I work there and there are no cameras. Records show Remote Vision installed them on Saturday. The employee was the only one on schedule and was seen entering the building by a neighbors camera and was seen leaving with nothing.

8. If there are videos of this why hasn't there been a post? This is a false story. His name was on the police report thats the only reason his name is on this story. He filed it and was there with other members of management. TMZ went to Alpha and other stores around the area and no one would give them a story.
