80. Shenae Grimes wants everyone to stop talking about the fact that she is skinny. And that she smokes like a chimney. Seriously. Stop it.

90210's skinny-mini (I can't help it!) has done what every angst-ridden starlet does, and has taken to her blog to get out all of her frustrations. She writes:

"Now, as you all know now probably, I graced my first major magazine cover, only to be called "too skinny" alongside my co-star Jessica Stroup. I would like to say once again that neither me or Jessica have issues with our weight or bodies. I happened to be very small built, and ive always been skinny. So I personally think that people need to stop criticizing everyone in the media these days about their issues. Im sure you wouldnt like it if someone pointed out all of your flaws and all of your mistakes... but thats what the media does to us. Anyways, im ranting.. so onto my next issue.

Tmz has criticized my smoking habit. I cant say that im proud of it, but there are so many people struggling with the addiction nowadays. I started smoking at about 16, and 1 in 5 teenagers smoke. Im not going to really go into the issue, but my hope is that you will all just stop hating and get on with it. I smoke. My choice. Im sorry if you dont like it, but this is who I am. 81. well, nobody has a problem being completely judgmental towards this poor girl.
Smoking may not be a hobby of mine--but, she has a choice, it's legal, and do you honestly think she hasn't considered the consequences of smoking by now? it is her choice.
And the whole Eating Disorder deal is getting old, people act like they've never seen a thin girl before, she's only 18!
I love shenae, and i cannot wait to see more of her. there's no such thing as bad publicity.

83. She answers the critics "Stop hating. That's just who I am." that's nonsense & foolish. Someone doesn't have to hate her because she smokes. It's like those who disagree with others' moral/social/religious/non-religious choices- just because someone disagrees on those issues, doesn't mean they ipso facto, automatically, hate the person. Unfortunately, many buy into the false idea that one can't disagree with someone on certain issues, and still love and care for the person. She seems to buy into that slanderous erroneous 'thinking'.
It's similar with 'That's just WHO I am". Huh? She buys into the idea she isn't separate from her smoking, so I guess that would mean she CAN'T quit, like millions have done?
Smoking is a horrible, unhealthy, dirty habit. It kills, and 'helps' to kill, hundreds of thousands- including my father, who was on an oxygen tank the last year of his life. That doesn't mean everything lawmakers do against it is right. It does mean smoking is a death habit. It's one of the most preventable causes of cancer, etc., if not THE most preventable cause of cancer. Many need several or more times to quit, but it is worth it. The sooner it is done, the better it is, the better chance of improving your health against the tragic results of smoking. http://www.TrytToQuit.org is one website to get help for you, or someone you know.
Then girl who said "You atre all just jealous" also shows the unthinking, irrational buzzwords & buzzterms used today that answers nothing, but shows how not to think through an issue or comment (misuse of "hate", throwing "You're jealous" into the 'mix', and the like). Please see through those thought stopping non-replies.

She was terrible on degrassi TNG (TNG actually did have some talented actors), and is terrible on 90210, we all know that. but what I want to know is how do the parents allow a kid like this to build up such a habit? And I don't know the laws in the U.S., but as a officer here in Ontario (where she is from) I can tell you that it is illegal for anyone under the age of 19 to smoke. I "smell" a trainwreck.
